Sorry, I can't help myself either as your assessment seems to be way off. I play both NL and limit holdem, although more limit lately, so I have some perspective on both sides.
Medium to high stakes Limit poker is the EXACT opposite of slow and boring. It is fast and fun, that is why you are seeing more and more higher limit poker games. Each decision usually take 5 seconds or less to make and the atmosphere is SO much friendlier and more fun that a NL game. The hands go fast, more players are in each hand per hand dealt, and you often see lots of betting and hands to a showdown on the river. The average pot size is also usually much more than in NL if you compare 5/10 Nl to 40/80 limit. You will almost always see good conversations happening at a limit table and people more generally interacting with each other.
On the other hand, in NL, you see much more sun glasses, head phones, hoodies, players looking down at their cards only and not interacting with anyone else, taking 2 minutes to decide whether or not to fold AJ preflop to a raise, more 'Hollywooding' taking place when a player knows they are going to fold, and excessive tanking all of the time. You don't see players talking to each other a whole lot and the atmosphere is much more tense and stuffier for obvious reasons. You also see a lot of folding preflop or on the flop, and only see the occasional showdown on the river for a good size pot.
I still love NL too, but Limit poker has a lot going for it as well and boring is certainly not one of them!
It is not about pounding your chest because you play NL instead of Limit and that makes you a man, lol. Different options for different players, but your assessment of limit is still way off. Come play some 50/100 or 100/200 limit holdem with us and see if it is boring or not.
