Turn spot
Oceans-11 20/40, playing 4 handed. Villain is a TAG regular and a winning player, although in my opinion plays a little too tight for short-handed play, particularly post-flop.
Villain opens UTG (cutoff), button folds, I 3-bet AcKd in SB, BB folds, villain 4-bets, I call. I would estimate his 4-bet range her to be 77+, AK+, AQ+, AJs, KQs.
Flop comes J74, two clubs. I check/call.
Turn is Kc.
Action on me. Turn and river plan?

Re: Turn spot
Is the Jc on board?
I'd want to know a little more about how you're playing the flop on this texture. I'm kc my whole continuing range here, but maybe you're not.
But that's an awful card for the range you give him and a great one for yours. So even though I was planning to kr my value range I'm now ready to hit him with the Donk of Death and call down from there UI.

Re: Turn spot
Given villains range any club, A, or K u should b/c on turn. If raised on turn just c/c unimproved on river. C/c flop is perfectly fine since that's a decent flop for his 4betting range.
Given action you should definitely b/c this particular turn.

Re: Turn spot
I like a Turn C/R. He still going to have plenty of hands he'll bet for value on this turn. If we get free carded its not the end of the world as we have most of his draws dominated.

Re: Turn spot
I like a turn c/r. If the turn checks through, I probably go for a river check raise on almost all river cards. Thoughts on that river line?

He is capable of bet/folding. Although being short handed and it being a heads up pot I an fairly certain he is showdown bound with any pair assuming river is not a completely gross card from his point of view.

Re: Turn spot
Is he showdown bound because you like to c/r turns like this with bluffs like QT or something? cuz if he is then i'd think you would have to c/r this with AK

Agreed. Villain should be going for showdown in these spots. If villain has seen u make c/r bluffs on these boards this is the perfect opportunity to extract maximum value

Re: Turn spot
So continuing the thread. I decided to donk the turn. He raises, and I call.
Turn is a total blank.
River line?
And give me a reasonable range for him on the river given preflop/flop/turn action.

Re: Turn spot
I don't see any reason to do anything but Ch/Call. We're definitely behind villain's value range at this point, so I think we Ch/C hoping villain value cuts himself with KQ, we chop, or villain played AxQc as a bluff.
I'd guess his range is KQ/AK+ for value and the rare semi-bluff. I think sometimes villain will check behind with a hand like QcQx for the free showdown raise play.
