20/40

TAG reg opens TT from utg+1, mediocre LP old reg CC from HJ, nitty-ish BB calls.

flop Td7d5s

BB donks, TT raises, old guy calls, BB calls.

Turn: Js

BB donks, TT raises, old guy instantly calls while making a speech about limping along, BB 3bets, TT calls, old guy calls.

River: As

old guy yells "KA-CHING-GA!" as BB checks, TT checks, old guy bets, BB calls,

Are you ever folding in this spot?

lol @ ever folding this river. Gramps probably spiked an ace or random 2-pair.

Like, conceivably you could fold this river if you had all this info, but it's probably bad in this spot.

The thought of the TAG folding a brick river because the BB 3bet the turn though is pretty hilarious.

So no, don't fold, run better.

Yeah, I know, closing the action at 17:1.

I can see making a crying-call of the BB's river bet unimproved. But we aren't just calling on the end, we're overcalling.

There's surely a bunch of LOLwut in Gramps' range, and even some in the TAG's. But what's the overlap between the two?

I've made similar folds like this before but it is only with players you have put in thousands of hands with and a spot that they can only have it. I find if it isn't a spot where it simply can't be anything but, call. If he got there god bless him. This is just a spot where you don't run well. Pretty sure you experience much more anguish folding to his 2pair then paying off with 3rd set

In live poker some people are just never exploiting you. Their goal isn't to maximize anything or collect value or anything like that; it's to draw to the winning hand. Assuming they think like you is a mistake.

If I'm going to fold here I'll b/f, not c/f.

Re: TT flops set three ways

Folding this is awful. Their reads seem "spot on" to them because they remember the 9 times they were right and forget the 1 time they were wrong and would have won the pot.

This is live poker so they have no good recent history (sample size) to remember and compare results. Of course they'll lose more often than not, but they only have to be getting the right odds obviously. IMO in live poker people fold way too much because of this. It's easier to remember calling time after time and losing than the very few times you called getting good odds and won.
