Top Two
Game is 1/2 in the city of angels, 8 handed I think. Laggy pro opens UTG, his range is wide but he is UTG 8 handed so it's not out of control. Tag fish asian lady calls next in; this surprises me, as she doesn't do a whole lot of cold calling and likely has a very narrow range of small to middling pocket pairs (I don't know how high it goes) and suited connectors/aces. The fishy sb calls and I defend the 63o.
622hh
SB checks, I check, UTG bets (his entire range I suspect), and tag fish lady raises. SB folds.
1. Is preflop an abortion?
2. Obviously if I continue I must 3 bet. Is that the correct action?

Re: Top Two
I muck that preflop.
And it seems like you've got pretty bad RIO against TAGfish's range. She's paying you 2 BB when you're good and charging you 3 BB whenever you're not.

Re: Top Two
I've been actually playing with stove/ranges etc recently trying to figure out what are acceptable 3x hands to defend with in BB when 4 or 5 handed (especially suited hands). It just happened that I was dealt a ton of 3x recently in the blinds... I think 3Ts+ is ok as well as 34s, 35s... but I would say 36o is an abortion indeed; however I don't play 1/2 so what do I know.
Postflop, I fold in a 40 game vs a TAG fish lady.

Re: Top Two
Given your read, do you think she's capable of believing the story? IE putting you on 77+ or a 2? and mucking her pair? Or is she in show me mode?
What's the plan if the opener doesn't fold and you take two people to the turn?

Re: Top Two
77 never folds unless it comes both heart then ace. 22 and 33 boards (obv not 33 in this case) are unique in hold em. Fold, you're even money against a flush draw, not getting laid a huge price, and can't autorealize your equity because you're out of position. When it comes high card, high heart, you're just guessing. fold pf too.

Re: Top Two
What do you think TAG fish lady's range is when she cold-calls preflop and then raises this flop?

Re: Top Two
I would fold the flop. You are only in great shape against three possible holdings (33,44,55) in terrible shape versus a couple, and even money vs. flush draws, plus you still have the opener to deal with.
Also I muck that pre. Call suited obv.

Re: Top Two
PF seems kinda bad but not terrible. It's a timed game I'm assuming? 64o seems kinda standard so w/e.
Flop it seems like the lady's range is any 33-TTish and overcards with a FD. She might be spewing sometimes, but probably not enough to want to continue. PF raiser has a hand here a fair bit.
If I were to continue I'd 3bet to try and get the raiser's overcard range to fold, but he probably continues with AK/AQ so it might be kinda futile. I don't know if he'd cbet with KQ here 4 handed.

Re: Top Two
I don't fold preflop.
I would 3bet on the flop because a tagfishy asian lady can seriously raise this flop with like A5 or some BS its incredible. But, if PFR calls I'd likely continue with great caution.

Flush draws (I'm not sure what ones she cold calls pre), 6s (probably 76s, A6s), 44, 55, and 77-88 maybe?
And of course like Dos said there is some utter bull**** that could or could not be present.

So you're losing to 4 combos of hands, 10 if villain raises half her 77/88 combos.
