Re: Short-handed means long-penised

i guess since i joked at rick's expense, i should add something content wise lol.

1. agree obv that "everything is marginal" equity wise in the bb. if the player is very good and knows how to apply pressure, i toss 85o. otherwise i'm playing it. i.e. it's close to the cusp. i play between 75-80% probably though it varies based on who the button is.

2. yeesh k/f the flop.

3. given the way the hand was played, if that jack doesn't hit you, i have no clue what would from his perspective lol. you have 8 high. bet and table your hand like you have the nuts if he calls.

Re: Short-handed means long-penised

The J shouldn't be a scare card but it is for a lot of poor hand reading opponents. I would probably just barrel here given our hand but probably wouldn't c/r this flop to begin with.

Re: Short-handed means long-penised

This is an EXCELLENT post on constructing parts of our range to bluff with, raise for value, and bluff catch, or fold. http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/35...e-post-923166/

Without doing the work I'm going to say the 85o falls well within the fold part of our range.

Nice beefy link, Jack.

I like how half the people think the river J is a scare card for villain and half think it isn't.

Give a man a fish, and he'll eat for a day. Teach a man to fish, and he'll overfish your local fishing hole and you'll both go hungry.
