Quick pre-flop "poll"

40 live, we are in CO. Stox's "default" recommendation for opening with unsuited Kings is K9o+.
In this specific spot, BTN is a tight (both pre and post) passive player who plays quite predictibly post flop. Both SB and BB are your average 40 fish (this is @Bay 101 FWIW)

What is lowest offsuit K-hi hand you open with ? I think I am getting myself into some level of trouble opening wider than I am supposed to.

Re: Quick pre-flop "poll"

I'd say K9 to K8, using my current image or flow of the game to decide.

Re: Quick pre-flop "poll"

I default to K9.

BTW armor, from my brief session with you the other day I felt you were raising too wide in non-blind steal situations but then maybe I'm a nit.

Was there a showdown so that you can be specific about what I had or did I just run good?

Re: Quick pre-flop "poll"

K5s+, K9o+ feels right. If your image is really bad and someone's not going to fold to you postflop, maybe KTo+.

Re: Quick pre-flop "poll"

wow, surprising!

I thought everyone would be trying to out-do each other with how low they'd go and I'd be the nit that said K9

instead 9.5 is the nit???

Re: Quick pre-flop "poll"

Buttons folding a lot.
SB and BB are fish.
A king can have high card value against 4 opponents.

I'm raising any king here a bunch. I'll tighten up if they are catching on or start playing well.

k2s, k5/k6. this is the most ideal situation you could have in the co.

grunch

I think K9o is literally marginal here. Definitely open KTo, definitely fold K8o. In a nitty mood I fold K9o, and in a LAGgy one I open.
