Yeah but have you guys ever heard of Cup O Noodles? I would never have survived as a grinder without them
10-16-2015 , 04:27 AM
i used to buy cup o' noodles by the case.

back in the 90's i used to get generic boxes of mac and cheese for $0.10 a box at the IGA across the street from my house.

Ew. I can't stand mac and cheese. Back when I was 19 and trying to put my way through college working at a grocery I used to love the biannual employee sale where I could buy top roman for a penny each

Cup of Noodles. That is a meal in a cup. Hot, tasty. Reminds me of college. Lived on this stuff. Brain food. You know what I really, really miss about college? The parties. Everybody'd go. The athletes, the nerds, professors.

once i moved to portland when i was 19, i grocery shopped exclusively at cub foods (now called winco). i'd get a bunch of those for like $0.49 each and a box of frozen corn dogs and live of that **** for a while.

what was the rule regarding professor and student sexual relations? like a strict no tolerance policy? or was it ok if they weren't in a class together?

Surprised to see all the noodle supporters, we lived on totinos pizza.
Junior year, some chipotle clone opened up and put an add in the school paper; free burrito/bowl with the purchase of a drink (no expiration date). I had 400 copies of the paper in my room and we ate decent meals pretty cheap.

funny, my post was supposed to read "once i moved to portland when i was 19, i grocery shopped exclusively at cub foods (now called winco). i'd get a bunch of those totino's frozen pizzas for like $0.49 each and a box of frozen corn dogs and lived off of that **** for a while." but i didn't proofread it and was distracted when i posted it and somehow left out the most important part. do you remember how much those cost?

Thanks to poker, I feasted on caviar and the finest wines when I was in college.

Fried spam and eggs for dinner last night.

I'm going to use my 15,000th post to say that a sausage totino's pizza may be the best use of a dollar in the world
10-16-2015 , 08:30 PM
My 15,001st post is going to be used to suggest we start a trend of stuffing totinos in strippers g-strings
10-16-2015 , 11:34 PM
i love them all, but combination might be my favorite. how about stuffing it in a stripper's mouth?

The chinese instant noodles cost like twice as much as top ramen but tasted 10x better. You could get a box of 24 of them for $10? Can't remember. Of course it was about 10x your recommended daily allowance of sodium and MSG, but what the heck. That plus a water boiler, easy game.

Hot pockets also, ftw.
