yet ppl itt are mesmerized as to why there is hate for live poker in LA.

my personal favorites are the guys who draw for a new game, get one of the blinds, then leave before a hand is dealt. lol

I hear you dude. If you add family and social responsibilities to that mix, it gets too much at some point. I managed to do it for about 5 years, all while living about 2 hours away from the nearest poker room, but eventually had to give up. I still love to play, but once i started playing less then certain number of hours per week, my game began to deteriorate below a level where it actually made sense to play.

LOL, don't get me started on getting family and social responsibilities to the mix TBH, when I was writing the post you've responded to, I was contemplating if I should mention family and I didn't because it wouldn't be fair to compare (job vs family etc'). Like, obv, family/kids should have higher priority than things like day job or poker. But do they really get the higher priority in reality? Uh oh, most likely not... So yeah, the "PTSD" is due to constant inability to find balance between the three (or find another 6-7 hours a day).
Young bachelor folks who have only one job of playing poker professionally - should I be jealous?

Ya, I was told about your healthy eating BS, it's cool. Awesome about falling in love (I hope)

We'll figure something out...I never expected you to meet me at commerce, I know how you feel about that place.

I can think of 11 cocktail waitresses, 13 dealers, 6 massage girls, 2 floorladies, and about a dozen female regulars who will be saddened to hear this news.

You can't turn them unless they want to be turned, in which case you aren't really turning them, just giving them a convenient excuse. (But if they aren't looking for that excuse, fugeddaboudit.)
