There is a reason limit games are dying up and that is simply that it is not real poker. My advice to you is to quit poker or play NLHE or PLO. If you can't take a 100bb loss at $1/$2, you shouldn't be gambling, you're either too broke or too scared to be gambling.
Lol nice level

If you're going to troll the same lake, you should vary your bait.

If you can't take a 100bb loss at 20/40 LHE, you shouldn't be gambling.

Sure they'll have an edge on you, but if you're a decent player and practicing good game selection that shouldn't hold you back.
(1) Becusse the soft hi stakes games don't exist
(2) this probably will work up to 20-40 or so but what will happen is all of your experience is going to be at 20-40 playing with people that are generally bad at poker, with a few exceptions. You'll have no experience playing agaisnt very good players and your going to pick up lots of bad habits because you see what other players do and you dealt don't know better because you don't have any experience otherwise. Your going to limp 8-9s utg and cold call 88 and KJs, and while not terrible or bad enough to prevent you from beating 20-40 will make it very difficult to move up higher.

$125 will no go very far in a limit game, not even at 4/8..... What player needs a bigger bankroll, 1/2-2/5 NL, or 10/20-20/40-80..... Stop the fight, u lost

I don't even know who this guy is, and I'd probably take OTR's action against him in any big bet game.

Ahh, another Internet savant with a veneer of bravado. How special.

Just so you know, sport, most of these midstakes guys don't even jerk a tear when they're paying a $200 tip on dinner.

I play both games and actually play NL more often. But I don't play NL more often because it's a much better game. I play it more often because only Bellagio offers anything above 4/8, and sometimes I have to wait a while to get in a limit game, even when I call in and show up 40-50 minutes later.

In other words, I would play limit more often if I could walk into the Aria/Venetian/etc. and find several tables of 8/16, 10/20, 15/30, etc. running.

I would probably cry if I had $200 to lose in the first place.

The 'Ultimate Texas Holdem' and 'Mississippi Stud' table games seem to be quite popular. More can probably be done to draw these people to limit games, as they are slightly similar.
