Limits in Mexico are generally the same as limits in America now, as are the rules and regulations wrt fishing/boating (except the ones that are even more strict). Also in places like baja the fishing itself might be inexpensive but the lodging will not be.

It's still a decent lmb lake afaik but it's not really on my agenda since catching small lmb in boiling hot weather is not my cup of tea and I've caught multiple lmb larger than the Mead lake record anyway. Schoolie stripers are a blast, especially when the bite is good. Also there is substantially less of a social stigma attached to the catch and release of stripers the way there is with lmb so they can become delicious fish tacos later

As a result of being primarily a lmb angler for many years I have no particular desire to keep what I catch generally but hold nothing against those who do, and I can't imagine going after redfish without enjoying them on my plate a few hours later
