Mead also used to be a good lake for largemouth bass. The first ever BASS championship was held there. Don't know how good it is now with the water level being so low.

Re: June Low-Content Thread

Any one ever successfully 3bet bluff the river in a mid stakes limit game? I'd be interested in hearing about it.

CDC once 3-bet bluffed DeathDonkey off a set. I don't remember the details (board I think was AQJ7x and DD had 77?) and CDC played his hand just like KT and so DD raise/folded the river sure that CDC had KT but CDC did not. I think he had turned an ace into a bluff and it worked.

i think he actually cr/4b the river, the hand should be in the life ruining thread. i've 3b bluffed the river a number of times but haven't done so in quite awhile bc no one folds anymore. oh, not too long ago i overplayed my hand trying to 3b the river for value against cdc and accidentally got him to fold a better hand

It's a bargain, especially when you're with friends.

Also, no limits in Mexico.
Limits in Mexico are generally the same as limits in America now, as are the rules and regulations wrt fishing/boating (except the ones that are even more strict). Also in places like baja the fishing itself might be inexpensive but the lodging will not be.

It's still a decent lmb lake afaik but it's not really on my agenda since catching small lmb in boiling hot weather is not my cup of tea and I've caught multiple lmb larger than the Mead lake record anyway. Schoolie stripers are a blast, especially when the bite is good. Also there is substantially less of a social stigma attached to the catch and release of stripers the way there is with lmb so they can become delicious fish tacos later As a result of being primarily a lmb angler for many years I have no particular desire to keep what I catch generally but hold nothing against those who do, and I can't imagine going after redfish without enjoying them on my plate a few hours later

Yes, a lot of times. In fact I can remember a specific hand against you in 2007 where it worked =P

ikijigoku=hm i assume so sean, do you want me to put an undertitle "formerly howmany" under your new name? or i (or pj) can vouch for you to mat and you can get your name back.

your post just adds to the apparent quality of the time and ofc the food. that's just amazing. i would be happier w/ all these posts if it hadn't been nearly a week since i've eaten anything lol.

oh well, it'll make the next meal all the sweeter.

For the record I once beat a guy who has lost 60 pounds in a year in a weight loss bet.

Obviously those events were in different years.

It's going to be hard to truly know this unless the opponent open folds.

Last time I thought I successfully pulled of a 3-bet bluff on the river (with A high), villain pitched his hand into the muck and it flipped over revealing a hand even worse than mine. He actually flopped an open ended straight/flush draw and had about 20 outs on the flop, but I put him on an entirely different hand.

Anyway, the point is unless your opponent shows, you can't be sure your 3-bet is actually a bluff.

Out of curiosity, how many total calories per day do you think you are getting from this regimen?
