Re: June Low-Content Thread
How do you even play in those tournaments? Six hour of poker is excruciatingly long for me nowadays, let alone 10-12 hours a day for multiple days

I saw a guy fold a flop with 3 bets already in the pot like 3 or 4 ways. I don't remember the action but it was absurd, he was getting like 20 or more to 1 closing the action and had already pushed call twice ON THAT STREET.

well considering bn won the hand with KJ on a J63TQ no flush board it seems even more terrible than it already was

I once played a hand where on the flop the co bet, sb c/r, I 3bet in the bb, an ep limper capped, co folded, sb folded, then I folded

That's impressive. I raise/folded preflop once. I opened the 66, got 3 bet by a guy who was not messing around, and the blind fumbled a 6. And I let er go.

Re: June Low-Content Thread
I used to raise/fold preflop like it was my job around 2003. And it was my job, for a few weeks.

I don't feel tired, and while it's possible I'm boring myself to death (a fate I've surely inflicted upon others) I doubt that's the issue here. Am I not breathing correctly/getting enough oxygen to my lungs while running? But why now? Am I just getting old? This is pretty sad for a former college track athlete.

how old are you (it doesn't matter for the purposes of this response, just curious)?
i used to be a very serious runner. 4-6mi/day 5-6days/week for 2-3 years. there were times when it was boring but i used to play 'numbers' games with the time either on my watch if running outside or on the treadmill.
the "easiest" runs for me (ignoring variance of how your body feels on a day-to-day basis) were when having a goal. i.e. finish x distance by y time. the duckpond in dc is 1/4 mile on the dot. my standard run time was 7.5minutes/mile but i was ok w/ anything below 8. so i'd try to get consistently around 1:51-1:53. you'd be surprised how fast timing those 1/4 miles makes the time go.
so i'd say set some goals and change it up. do interval training (fast/slow? is that the term for it) where you sprint 1/4 mile, jog 1/2 mile, spring 1/4 mile etc. you said you ran track so all this should be familiar to you.
if that doesn't help, also listen to fatboy slim or similar types of music.

He wanted you to Dcifrtht.
Actually, his post seems to be based on the assumption that yawning is caused by boredom and he is giving PJ tips on how to avoid boredom while jogging. I personally like a blaring ipod but I doubt that will stop the yawning.

Re: June Low-Content Thread
Turning on the AC keeps you from yawning when driving right? So only run when it's cold.
