Where do you get the figure six months as opposed to, say, 12 months?

Also our city's fireworks show failed. They accidently set off the entire supply of fireworks at once. It lasted 15 seconds, three gigantic colorful bombs which shook the earth

was fun while it lasted!

The ban was actually passed in 2004, but took effect this July 1st. No more foie gras in CA.

FYI, foie gras is not a fruit.

deal.

Anyone's thoughts on the HU machines? I been playing them on and off since I landed yesterday (I'm aware of the personality shift) - I actually enjoy them. Don't think they are beatable for much, but ofc when I say that xerok sits down next to me and wins 800 in 15 mins.

That being said I think they are beatable but not by what others claim who are walking on water vs it. Some of the personalities seem very tough and from talks with some other hu pros who been grinding it they seem to say all of them are close to GTO, so when it c/r gutty and bets to river or calls down j hi it's pretty much close to being right long term.

"It never gets tired and it never tilts."

Gaucho posted this on twitter yesterday. One of the machine's personalities made a pretty stunningly bad/superuser'ish play.

The machine has 75hh on 843hh and checkraise/folds the flop

Re: July Low-Content Thread

I've noticed a recent trend in the lhe games where I play. Players are buying in for nearly the min. buy-in. Why the hell would someone short stack a timed lhe game, then once they go all-in they rebuy for the same low amount....over and over?

Well, I play in a game with a full kill that allows you to buy and rebuy for 5bb of the regular amount. It is hugely +EV to shortstack this game although I've never done it.

And while I doubt they are doing it for the right reasons, shortstacking limit is +EV for all but the very best, as long as you do it right and make the proper starting hand adjustments and recognize spots in heads up and threeway pots where it is almost never going to be correct to fold postflop, but your opponents sometimes will.

Re: huhu machines

When I was in Vegas a couple of weeks ago there was a decent amount of chatter about them. CDC basically agrees with you and had the most sensible opinion I heard. Then he beat the machine for like 100 bets in like an hour.

Re: July Low-Content Thread

It's not a kill game. Could you briefly explain how it would be +EV?

Re: July Low-Content Thread

Over the past week I played the borgata 20 game with a player who formally was a regular in the biggest lhe games at the taj about 12-15 years ago. Other than creative taunts like "joke to the racket", I was amazed with how "old" his play was. It was like taking a time machine back to 1999. I could only imagine what it would be like to play in the 200/400 game with the knowledge of lhe play today. For Christ sake, he broke a guys balls for referring to a flop as "dry", saying he never heard of such bull****.

While not quite min buy in, the Commerce regs have recently fallen in love with chipping up. Never mind that I absolutely adore having a monster stack in front of me. These donks wanna "lock up" a part of their win. Except they leave themselves like 3 stacks of yellow. So they try to play super tight but inevitably find some "ZOMG" gold mine hand like KJs which they call 3 cold with and have basically zero chance to win with. They flop top pair and stack off, calling the river with their newly minted $1k chip, and are left yelling out for a chip runner.

It's like the retard dance of the 'merce
