Re: The A**hole Card thread (LC)
Here's one that only cost me 1BB, but it's the prototypical ass hole card because there was only one of them in the deck. Not 4 outs, not 2, but one.
UTG opens, I three-bet AK of hearts OTB, SB caps, three to the flop.
Flop 622r SB leads, we both call.
Turn 9 SB bets, only I call.
River is the Kd and he checks to me. I bet, he c/r, I laugh and fold, he shows me black kings.

Re: The A**hole Card thread (LC)
I forgot about this glorious kind of ass hole card -- the kind that mocks you for making a good fold by essentially being the bizarro world ass hole card: it makes your hand, but you correctly mucked already.
Commerce 40 today: CO raises all-in for 5 chips. BTN calls, SB calls, I raise KK in the BB. BTN and SB call.
Flop T88. SB donks into me. She's a straight-forward older lady who never bluffs and is very easily readable, and this is a T 99.5% of the time. I raise, BTN folds, she calls.
Turn T. SB donks again. This is a T 100% of the time so I make the easy fold. She flips up QTs to go for the main pot vs. the CO. The river comes a K and she scoops after CO mucks face down.

I think this qualifies???
I'm in SB and it's folded around. The player in the BB has been trash talking me ALL night and while I am not at all tilty, generally, I also wouldn't mind getting him to shut the **** up for a while. BB doesn't chop. I look down at 4-4 and raise. He 3! And I 4! And he calls.
Flop comes down a dream: A A 4. I bet. He raises, I 3! He calls.
Turn is a 3. We repeat same betting as on the flop.
River is a 3. I TILT THE **** OUT and got up off the game (and I NEVER lose it like that, but...).
Is that a correct example of an assahole card (the 3?!)

And, btw, I c/c his river bet and he shows A-K off, meaning he played the hand TERRIBLY to boot.

No, this is not an ass hole card. You just got sucked out on.
An ass hole card improves your hand but you lose.
It's like if you have AA on a board of JT6. Turn 3. River A. You lose to KQ.
It's like if you have KsQs on a board of Kd7s4s. Turn 3h. River 9s. You lose to As2s.
It's like if you have TT on a board of J43. Turn 3. River T. You lose to JJ.
In your hand, you flopped a full house and never improved it.

Ohhhhhhhh. My bad. Got it. ******* cards blow. That happens all the time, seems like, and it usually makes someone's straight or flush, as in your example.

Re: The A**hole Card thread (LC)
Oaks 30-60. MP limps, Villain in CO (decent TAG) raises, BTN coldcalls. I'm in SB with 6 6 and call the raise, hoping for enough players to justify set-mining. Sure enough, BB calls and the MP limper calls.
Flop: A 6 4
I check, action checks to villain who bets, BTN calls, I raise, the field clears out, villain calls, BTN calls.
Turn: A 6 4 9
I bet, villain raises, BTN gets out of Dodge, I 3-bet, villain 4-bets! I call.
I'm thinking I've taken a strong line, so the villain's four-bet represents a really strong hand.
River: A 6 4 9 9
I want a bet to go in on the river, but that card could be an action killer. I donk out. Villain raises. I crying-call, saying "Full house." Villain shows A 9 . FML.
