Re: The A**hole Card thread (LC)
Oh man, I ass hole carded bdaddy twice in one hand tonight. It was a stone cold raping. Poor bastard...
Juicy Commerce 40. I open UTG with KK. Three cold-callers including bdaddy on the button holding 76s. Blinds call too.
Flop K62. I bet, fish calls, bdaddy calls.
Turn 6. I bet, fish calls, bdaddy raises, I 3-bet, fish folds, bdaddy calls.
River 2. I check, bdaddy bets, I raise, bdaddy calls.
Sorry dude. Had to do it. It was the only decent-size pot I won tonight anyway.

im really curious why you opted for river c/r. I would have been tempted to check behind in brooks' spot.

It was the best card for me to c/r. Brooks always has a 6 here, and when I check, he just can't resist betting for value. And how easy is it to lay down when I c/r? I guess he should, since I can't see myself taking this line with anything other than KK (I don't raise 22 UTG) but if I have, say, AA or AK and realize I'm beat, maybe I pull a sick bluff and try to get Brooks to lay down a better hand. And it's a big pot by that point.
Basically it comes down to the fact that I could have overplayed AA on the turn and 3-bet to try to get the fish out of the pot. Brooks just calls the turn 3-bet because I could have KK, but when I check the river, it looks like I don't have KK anymore. He just can't resist betting sixes-full. You say you'd be tempted to check behind, but would you? In the flow of the game, I doubt it. How do you not value bet 76 on a K6622 board when checked to?

Re: The A**hole Card thread (LC)
A couple ass hole flops from today:
I open KQ, villain 3-bets JJ. Flop comes KKJ.
I open 66, BB defends with 75o. Flop comes 643.
And hands like this are why I've dumped 6k in my last two sessions.

Re: The A**hole Card thread (LC)
I recall one cooler at 2/4 Party Poker. 3way pot for 3bets each, I hold QhJh. Flop comes the sweet KhTh9c, Turn is a 7, river bricks and i win a 25BB pot against 9d9s and J8. Wasn't really happy though because the remaining 9 in the deck, the ultimate a..hole card, would have won me a quarter of the 650k Badbeat Jackpot.

Re: The A**hole Card thread (LC)
I don't get a chance to post often here in MSLHE, so I reckon I'll do it now. I apologize in advace for having posted this in the SSLHE LC thread. Kinda looks like villain got two a$$hole cards.
5/10 fr ol:
hero is utg+1 with K K
utg opens, I 3!,folds to bb who calls, utg calls
Flop: K 8 5
bb checks, utg checks, I bet, bb raises, utg folds, I 3-bet, bb calls
Turn: Q
bb donks, I raise, he 3!, I cap, he calls
River: K
Carnage ensues and results in capped river. BB shows Q Q

Re: The A**hole Card thread (LC)
Based on my viewing of televised poker, it turns out David Benyamine is the biggest ass hole alive.
Tonight's new episode of the Million Dollar Cash game had DB ramming his foot right up the ass of Tom Dwan and Phil Hellmuth in sensational fashion. This being 300/600 deep-stacked NL made my puny 40/80 LHE beats look ridiculous.
To wit:
Benyamine holds 76o in the CO, durrr A2o OTB. There's one other player in the hand in the blinds somewhere.
Flop comes J43r. Checked to durrr who bets like 2/3 the pot, which is some obscene amount like 8k. He has about 150k behind, Benyamine covers. The blind folds, and DB peels (lol implied oddsaments as we will see).
Turn is of course the huge a**hole 5 (putting two hearts up). DB c/r, durrr shoves for 150, DB snap-calls and durrr is drawing dead.
A few hands later, DB raises with Q 3 and Hellmuth calls OTB with Q 9 . Jesus calls in the BB.
Flop comes T 8 4 . DB bets, PH calls, Jesus folds.
Turn some brick. DB checks, PH bets half the pot (7k-ish). DB calls.
River is the wonderfully a-hole-ish J . DB donks his flush, PH shoves with his straight for over 50k. PH re-buys.
Oh, and for LHE action -- today I had the QT on the button and the SB had the J9. The flop was QQ8, he c/c. Turn T and he loses a lot of bets to me.
First time I can remember ass holing someone else in recent memory. Things turning around perhaps?

Re: The A**hole Card thread (LC)
OK, I got a real one from yesterday at hustler. It's against a SUPER LAG named James(korean) folded to him in the CO he opens and SB calls I call with 55 in BB.
Flop 34Kr sb checks I lead only lag calls
Turn 6r I check for some unknown reason, he checks
river 5 I bet, he insta-raises, I insta call he shows the A2c
ouch!

Re: The A**hole Card thread (LC)
I played at the Borgata for the first time ever this weekend. And to round things out I get to post an a**hole hand for each day I played. Both are 20/40 LHE:
1) I turn a nut flush draw with top pair on a Q 7 4 2 board with 4 players in and a nice pile of chips accumulating. The river is the beautifully awful 8 . Which only cost me one raise for 3-bets because I smelled a rat. At least one player congratulated me on losing only 3 bets on the river.
2) On Saturday against a hyper aggressive fairly overt player I isolated 3-bet with 77. He check called the A43 flop. We went 6 bets when the miraculously cruel 7 came on the turn and I began to pray that he had 33 or 44 but knew in my heart of hearts that I had been rear ended on the highway to value town. I paid off the river 4 though I knew I would never see him rake in the chips, because I had already started to cry.
In fairness to the Poker Gods I was on the winning end of one of these as well. It was Saturday and it came against a guy who had repeatedly mentioned that I had the poker IQ of a plant.
3) I raise 99 in EP and villain 3-bets. Flop is A K K . I bet he raises I call. Turn is the ever loving 9 . I check he bets I raise he calls. River is the J . I think for a second and then check. He thinks for about an eternity or at least 10 seconds and then bets. As I am laying out the chips for a c/r he says "OK you got me" and then he proceeds to call anyway. He apparently had Q Q...

I was at the table for this hand. I wouldn't call that player hyper aggressive though

Re: The A**hole Card thread (LC)
I watched a hand at Foxwoods where on the T598 turn 3 people put three bets in and three people checked the 9 river. The hands were turned over. Two people with T5 and one with T8. Ouch.

Re: The A**hole Card thread (LC)
This isn't really an ******* card, but it sure was awesome:
30/60 Omaha 8. I post in the cutoff, for what will be the last hand of O in the rotation. I receive:
K J 3 2
We see the flop 5 handed for 2 bets:
T 5 4
Checks around
7
EP bets, I call, button raises, EP calls, I cry and call. 3 handed now and....
A
Nutnutnutnutnutnutnutnut
I Omaha
