Something that happens:

You've been running all kinds of horrible, suffering all kinds of beats, you're stuck beyond belief, etc.

Then you flop the nut flush draw against a fish (who's up three racks) holding top set. You get there, then he berates you for ten minutes for being so lucky.

I can relate to this, except I would have missed.

got 7 bet on the turn today holding 45o on a392dd and when he 7bet he said "i guess we have the same hand" so i called. J diamond hits on the river i c/c and he turns over the KTdd, lol's and says "slowed ya down, huh?"

Well if you don't take 10mins to muck and/or table your losing your hands then you obv. haven't been getting unlucky.

1-2 o8 game playing very passive preflop. Very solid ep player limps, button calls I check JJQ9. 4-4-10r flop gets checked around, J turn (no suits) sb leads, I raise, EP instantly calls 2 cold, sb calls. River is an 8: c/c, b/f, or can we b/c?
02-10-2012 , 05:06 PM
I would be concerned 2 bets isn't enough
02-10-2012 , 05:14 PM
So you think EP has both 4s, what do you think SB has? This is a weird hand, but I would rather b/3b/c than c/f.
02-10-2012 , 05:16 PM
isnt there no low and the only hand that beats us is 44?
02-10-2012 , 05:31 PM
I don't think he would call the turn without at least a 4, and I think he would be far more likely to check the flop with all of the 4s rather than just 1 as its way more vulnerable.

Sb callin is definetly what confused me here dive he should have a 4; however he is capable of having J-Q-K type hands as well. Also when EP bet, sb insta folded so he probably didn't have a 4.
02-10-2012 , 05:36 PM
What about check-raise-call?
02-10-2012 , 06:49 PM
only 2 bets going in on that river can't be right.

no way he has TT?
02-10-2012 , 07:16 PM
It's possible. (1) there has to be way more combos of A445, 2344, etc in his limping range, then A3-10-10 or A-2-10-10 (maybee raises)
(2) he will value bet 10-10 if I check so I don't lose a bet. I I bet r would neve raise it
02-10-2012 , 08:30 PM
i will say that he would be incredibly impressed that only 2 bets goes in if you're right and he has it. if that "impressed" makes it harder to play against you in his mind and you can plan on earning more $ from it, AND you think your read here is right, then maybe it's a nice 'haha' kinda play.

personally at the least i would be k/r, c'ing if it's a normal NOT passive postflop 1/2 agro type game but just has more limping pf than normal.
02-10-2012 , 08:41 PM
And your folding to the 3bet I assume? Pretty sure 44 is the only hand he would 3 bet, but I would have a hard time folding once I c/r.
02-10-2012 , 08:59 PM
I think b/c is just about right. C/R is too risky. If he was slowplaying with something like 2345 and then decided he couldn't fold the turn, he might just check back the end. Betting is definitely correct, the issue is what to do if raised. And folding is not an option.

change of heart...for some reason i'm kinda sentimental tonight (scotch helps) and went through a bunch of pics of me and my ex. as much as i know we weren't meant for each other long term, there were some incredible times we had together and she was super caring and thoughtful. i did love her. and i ignored the stuff i now predominately look back on because, well, we were in love.

so here's a few pics. all in good taste obviously. i don't think anybody can stalk her or me as a result so here you all go:
