if lin ends up halfway decent and is here to stay, i think its better than even money he makes the all-star game next year because of the chinese votes. i think it's clear at this point the kid can ball but he has some huuuuge issues he needs to address, mainly that he is a turnover machine.
elo, anytime i ever bet on the pacers, they eff me over bad. i had them on a big teaser today. that said, i think they should be fine, but its not like the pacers or knicks have a chance against chicago or miami anyways.
Oh yeah, don't get me wrong, he's not nearly as annoying as Tebow is with the god stuff. I don't care about humility, actually, I admit that I like guys that are brash/cocky. And as I've mentioned before, I think he has good size and is skilled enough to stick in the league, think he'll eventually be like a 11 point/5 assist in 20 minutes guy at the backup 1.
Pacers match up quite well against Chicago, imo, but I'm not homerific enough to claim they would actually have a reasonable shot to win that series. Miami always stomps them hard.
As a Dubs fan, what are your thoughts on a Monta-Granger swap? I think this is very interesting for both teams. The Pacers badly need a guy that can iso and create his own shot. The only reasonable SF on the Warriors is Dorell Wright, who's not anything better than servicable, imo. They had to play Wright 38 mpg last year, which can't be a good thing. Monta is a more dynamic scorer, but Granger is slightly better defensively (i.e., he's thoroughly average on that end). Really, they're both pretty inefficient chucker fringe All-Stars who might fit better teamwise after a swap. Also, I'm a huge sucker for undersized scoring guards with a big heart (Iverson is my favorite player of all time), so I've always liked Monta.
Granger is 3 years older. Salaries are only 1m off.
