Live 30-60, 6 handed
My image is LAG.
BTN is LP recreational player and an all-around fine gentleman. Sees 70% of flops. Usually by flatting PF or open limping.
SB and BB are both very loose PF.
SB is not inclined to continue OTT without a reasonable hand.

I open 88 UTG (3 OTB) with all LP players behind me.
BTN calls
SB calls
BB calls
Flop: 224, rainbow
I bet, BTN calls, SB calls, BB folds
Turn: 2 rainbow
I bet, BTN raises, SB folds, I call
River: 6

Yup. Not bluffing, but could be doing this w/ worse for value on this board (but not often enough to justify 3!)

I would. 3 bet the turn. I don't know if it's correct but there are very few reasonable hands that beat us. Based on the thread name I'm guessing you lost to. 6's full?

There's also very few hands that a LP would raise us with. What do you think he's raising here, A4s?

A4, really any 4, 55, 66, 77, or 3-5?

We've been told that he's not much of a player so I think we should be pressing for value.

Looks good to me. Turn is closer to a fold than a call-down. Loose-passive rec players aren't delay raising 4x or smaller pp's; expect to get shown 44/2x/bigger pp's here a lot.

Him "not being much of a player" makes a turn raise here even more scary. IMR you get raised on the turn by fish here with 55? And then they call down a 3-bet? If so, can I get into these games?

The hallmarks of fish are "play too many hands" and "miss value". This is "expert slowplay" so often.
