Just to be clear I would never do that to anyone that behaved even remotely reasonably (basically no history of angling me or other players at the table). Almost always i would chop with them the one time but explain I play in the future.

2. Sometimes the blinds are already trying to negotiate a chop when the action is at the cut-off or the button (or sometimes even before). I've even seen some 2+2'ers do this. I HATE this. If a late position player wants to steal (or has a hand that is worth raising for value), she should not be guilt-tripped into mucking by people in the blinds saying "we chop!" or similar stuff. As far as I'm concerned, negotiating the chop early is shooting an angle.
i LOVE this when I'm the CO/button. I'm not guilt tripping, I'm stealin

Again the commerce stories reinforce to me I will never chop there, despite it being +EV to do so, because I'm convinced I'm getting angled if I do. If I was a reg there I'd behave differently because at least I'd know the chopping habits of most players.

I really don't think this is a pervasive issue. I'd imagine if you played all year at commerce you'd get angled at most, twice.

Commerce gets a really bad reputation, but honestly, I think most of the people in the 40/80 player pool are pretty decent human beings. Sure, you get some bad apples, and some people are pretty bad when they're losing... but losing sucks. And you have bad apples everywhere. Before I started playing there, I was worried about how bad everyone made it out to be, but I find most of the people, both pros and fish, to be friendly, nice, and mostly considerate people.

you think this is an angle?? I take this an open invitation to steal.

I think sometimes some of you guys get so caught up in being the most respected guy at the table that it works to your detriment. Its sort of like gto/exploitative play...if someone tries to angle you, theyre usually open to get re-angled. I never ever angle someone out of thin air, but if they want to **** with me then its game on. (assuming they arent a massive donator in which case I just smile and do nothing and die a little bit inside)

It doesn't affect my ATS rate. But I've seen other players browbeaten into not raising near the button. Which is the intent of doing it and what makes it an angle.
