THIS MIGHT BE MY FAVORITE POST EVER. I don't get to play as often as I used to (well, I used to play every day, so really I should say, I don't get to play NEARLY as often as I used to). So now when I have a nice stack at the 20 game at the Borg or the Taj, or when I cash nicely at my home casino in New Orleans, I always take a pic with my phone and make it my screensaver. Just seeing the checks nicely stacked together makes it a little easier to get through the day and to get through my J-O-B (sucks, but had to get one of those--went busto a while back when a matter unrelated to cards sucked my bankroll up
).
Whoever you are who scored all those black checks on the 10 game at the Borg: EITHER YOU'RE A DAMN LIAR or YOU'RE THE SICKEST 10-20 PLAYER EVER because that's a NICE day at the office, baby! I had some nice cashes on that game WAY back in the day when the fish were swimming and the pickins were ripe, but a score like that these days--especially on that game, which is full of reg's and nits--is SWEET. Congratulations, baby. Were you playing any two cards that night? Sometime, if you can runn'em, that's a nice way to play against the nitty players on the 10 game at the Borg (especially when the game is populated mostly with older gentlemen who are pissed off that the Tropicana doesn't still run 10 tables of 5-10 stud, so now they "have to sit in this goddamn game which I never really liked in the first place, etc., etc., and this Borgata isn't so great--you should have seen the old 5-10-15-20 stud game at Ballys--now that was POKER!" I love those guys, and I already KNOW I'm gonna be one of them someday, but they are easy to run over if you start hitting flops. So I just have to know: How the hell did you get that stack on the 10 game?! Would love the story.
