Yabbut when I'm flinging chips like a spewmonkey, it's great to have stacks of exactly two big bets, so that I can just grab them and hurl them at the villain without anyone calling string on me.
So I wandered into the casino this afternoon, and there were only two interesting games. A very soft eight handed 40-80 HE game, or a crazy headsup 75-150 HOT.
Since I only had $4k on me, guess which one I chose?
Whoever the guy was who was at my mixed game table who made a chip stack that held his drink at the meetup this year....you were robbed man, robbed.
I've been thinking about this a bit and I think that maybe the judges thought that my structure was less stable then it actually was. There are some spots where it kinda looks like some of the stacks crumbled where they really didn't that was just part of the design. There were also a couple of things that I realized that I coulda done to make it seem more technically challenging but I kinda thought it was enough to win already. Guess I shouldn't have been complacent.
I guess I should post the picture. This isn't the finished work but it's close enough:
meh i only have 2 chip stack pics, the one that was posted and another one from commerce. if i can figure out how to post it w/o having my usb phone cord thingy i will i guess cuz it looks pretty, just not massive like every1 elses. i dont normally take chip stack pix, there have been some huge ones over time playing lhe cuz i never color up but playing mix/big bet i usually dont get huge stacks since when im crushing it means im selling every1 else chips and i dont mind having big chips plus i havent won more than 15 bets in a game in god knows how long anyway.
*edit*
found it. was a full 3/6 mix game turned into 3 handed 3/6 holdem game turned into hu 5/10 holdem game, turned into 1-max 0/0 game.
