Calling station hand, butchered?
Commerce 40
Passivish, but now tilted Armenian whale limps EP, hero iso K J in MP, tricky Korean who overall plays bad but not an idiot calls in BB
Flop (3 ways): 4 5 9 Hero c-bets (??) BB raises, EP calls two, hero calls (??)
Turn : J BB now checks, EP wakes up and bets, hero calls planning to fold if BB check raises, but BB folds now
River: 9 LP fires again, hero ?

Re: Calling station hand, butchered?
raise the turn for value, if he is that bad preflop, he has a lot of worse 9s and Js in his range.

And fold to 3 bet?
Btw, I expect he checks this turn with a worse J in his hand

So if you think he checks turn with a worse jack, that means you think he has a better hand? why dont you fold then?

thought about this suggestion some more and am changing my vote on the turn to this. it folds out pairs and some draws in the sb and takes control of the hand back from villain who donked. I am folding to a 3bet from sb and am likely calling a 3! from tilted armenian, folding to heart and ace rivers.

You seem to be saying that he could be semibluffing hearts or other draws, but if he is betting JACK, IT HAS TO BE J9 OR aJ. this makes no sense. why cant he have qj or j10. etc.

As I said he is quite passive. Also, sb is yet to act and he loves to kr a made flush, so I am really reluctant about bloating the pot now. But I hear your point, maybe I am wrong. Does anyone else join the raise turn for value camp?

To tell you the truth, when I red the op, I red it as 559, with no flush not 459, so I didnt see the flush. I still raise though and happily fold if he 3 bets.

Re: Calling station hand, butchered?
Calling and expecting to lose sounds good. I mean, it doesn't sound good but I don't see a better line.

Re: Calling station hand, butchered?
I like a value-raise on the turn, too, folding to a 3-bet from the BB but calling EP's reraise.
As played, definitely call on the river.
