Are we sure he's not a small winner at a baby game? He posted something in the SSLHE LC thread recently that made me think he's one of those 3/6 FL or 1/2 NL "pros" who grinds out a buck an hour and are content with that.
As baffling as it may seem, I can totally understand that if it were the case. There are plenty of people I know from my 3/6-6/12 days who were/are baby "pros," supplementing their Social Security or military pensions and having something to do.

Re: August Low-Content Thread
I wanted to add a High School story. I didn't mean to say I didn't enjoy it. I did. I just had to deal with the haters back then and I am not sure about dealing with them now when I don't have to. Also, most of the girls I dated or hooked up with were 1-2 years behind me so I wouldn't get to see them at a reunion.
My girlfriend when I was a senior was one year younger than me. She had a very overbearing and protective father who tried to intimidate anyone who came near him. This of course backfired and turned her into a bit of a freak in the sack. We had a closed campus but the two of us shared a 3rd period journalism class where we were allowed to go solicit local businesses to place adds in the school paper. Her dad didn't want to buy her a car so he let her drive the family van to school. Let me just say this was a big mistake...big, huge! My fondest memory of school was pulling daddy's van over at 11 am on a tuesday and going hog wild. One of my boys used to say "if the van is a rockin' don't bother knockin'."

Re: August Low-Content Thread
While looking for a place to live in Boston I've encountered 6 people on craigslist who are religious geologists/pastors stationed across the country and through walls of text I am able to decipher they are willing to give me the keys to the place if I Western Union them. I think the biggest red flag is moreso they post ads that are 3 sentences long and when I ask for info I get Homer's Iliad.
Anyhow, on a positive note my gf and I are staying at her mother's house. She is basically what you would imagine if a 28 year old asian lady never aged, the hottest milf ever. I tried to say "I love you" in the pleasant way my gf taught me how, but apparently she taught me the iteration that translates to "I want to make love to you" - and when you say that to her mom, who doesn't understand American humor or moreso my incompetent tongue with languages, it makes her think that I want to rape her. So now my gf's mom slightly thinks I'm a rapist.
My gf apparently also has a "spoiled" little sister who lives with her mom, but to me, she is anything but spoiled. She frequently buys stuff with her money (loaded) and if she doesn't like it she leaves it in plain view for some other kid to find. That's basically the plot to Robin Hood, right? Anyway, I think she is a hero and my gf tells me to stop encouraging her.
Cliffs: I need to find a place to live soon.
Just saw surfdoc's story: wtf. Now I am starting to think I was the biggest loser in high school ever. Everyone is having rampant sex meanwhile I was relegated to dating a girl one year older than me who moved away and I tried to keep the long distance thing goiARGHIHATEHIGHSCHOOLNOW.

Your problem is you're looking on craigslist for a place to live. That's like going to Target for dinner.
L.A. has a site calle WestsideRentals.com. I'm sure Boston has a similar service. Pay $30, get a listing of reliable rentals. Avoid the nutbags on free sites like craigslist. Profit. Home sweet home.

I see your point, and raise you:
Also, I'm a closet masochist, and opening my e-mail everyday and seeing one of these is like Christmas.

I lived in all three spanning 8 years. Let me know if you have any questions.
Really fond of Brookline Village, a bit quieter, and cheaper if you can get on the Boylston St side. Allston and Brighton can be fun, can be student slums and loud, and also on the slower train routes.

Uh, yeah. Phil Ivey was disappointed and didn't play the WSOP last year. So what?

Yeah, the most outlandish one is where I gave some guy 1000 to 1 odds on a bet! How wacky!

Jamaica Plain might be worth a look too. I lived there for 5 years. Part of JP is close to Brookline Village, small student population, some cool stuff in the town (bars, restaurants, clubs, parks, etc), and still on the T lines. Rents are probably comparable to Brookline Village IIRC.

Re: August Low-Content Thread
I don't know pig4bill and haven't really tracked his 2p2 posting record, so this isn't a direct defense of him, but LOL at all the people on here talking trash about him. At least in relation to poker.
For all I know it's deserved, but I just HAVE to say (and I've noticed this for a long time) a lot of the regs on here are such wannabes too. It's funny how many on here have played a relatively small sample size, won some, and believe they're the man. Then come on here and post half a dozen posts per hour of actual play and act like they've joined in some elite club.
And before I get any backlash, I know I suck at poker, have made dumb and/or arrogant posts, blah blah blah. I just found this whole trash talking thing hilarious considering the company that's kept in MSLHE.

Lets see if you can read, here is your Subject:Poker quiz:
- How much did Phil Ivey owe Full Tilt as reported July 29th, 2011?
- How much was FTP paying out monthly as 'dividends'?
- How much did Full Tilt fail to collect from EFTs (e-checks)?
- How much did Chris Ferguson 'dividends' did he funnel out though Pocket Kings (FTP) bank accounts?
Answer or you barred,
Joe
