Easy to say when you are a tv producer, or er doctor, or EE, or live like a captain.
But when you are me, you resort to praying for:
ONE TIME!
disclaimer: would mainly use to sports bet and become rich.

Re: August Low-Content Thread
@joetall
The 5-100 spread game is up in Oregon. I've played a similar game at 50/100 limit, but this is a new venture. In 50/100 the Stud8 has either been played as a 6-street affair (a variant where you get dealt four, discard one, then pick one to turn up) or as a 7-street game with 5th street still being a small betting round.
Either way I get to play midstakes OE with the kind of players I want to, except I'm basically nitting it up and treading water in the E part, and this whole new bet-sizing aspect of spread limit with antes has me further confused. I've been cramming some of your DC videos for help, and they've been great, but there's a lot of variables at play here. I'm really not sure what I'm supposed to do if, say, there's a couple limpers to me and I have good but not monstrous hands (A24 / 567 / good split kings, etc). I guess it depends on the situation (drinks).

To joe tall and daver - RE: Full Tilt. It looks like you have swallowed the BS PR put out by the Justice Dept. None of that stuff is in evidence, because the trial hasn't started yet. It is one of their favorite tactics to feed the press conjecture to prejudice the public. Some, none, or all of that baloney may be true, but neither you or I know yet, because it's not in evidence.

Re: August Low-Content Thread
I swear some of these people should be studied. Playing 20/40 yesterday I open red sevens UTG or UTG+1 next two guys who are very special cold call and everyone else folds. Flop is AT4dd. I bet first guy calls next guy raises so I do the only thing I can and 3bet. First guy calls second guy calls. Turn is like a 8 or something I bet first guy snap mucks somehow. Second guy tanks forever and calls. River is some other card and I check and he checks and I win.

I would likely limp all those. In a sandbox, the game is going to play with massive implied odds (RIO and IO) so limp behind, fit/fold 4th, and build pots in position multiway when you are live to scoop.
I'm jealous. Also, watch "The Situation" series on DC. I basically broke the game apart, its for holdem players really.
Keep us updated!

Sorry to be blunt but....WTF are you talking about?
Take a day or two, get out from under your rock and read all of this: http://www.subjectpoker.com/page/9/
Chat in a week,

that flop 3b sounds like suicide in just about any live 20 game.

You're just gonna have to trust me. It's not a coincidence that I was correct in this spot.

Unless his range includes complete air like 72o, it's still quite the parlay to 3b that flop.

Not if neither of them never have anything.
