Six, actually, but in the corner, mumbling to himself.

Ime, pope buys beers for his friends much faster than they buy beers for him.

Just sayin'.

You're saying that he's a prince among men?

Speaking of that sort of thing, the local DaveCo claims to have stock on the entire Molly Dooker line. They don't list vintage online, but I could be by there in the next couple days. Do you care about 2014 vs. otherwise? They either have everything, or just list the entire catalog as a placeholder. The Boulder place shows stock in only 2013 Scooter and 2014 Boxer.

I'm saying that he's an excellent friend among friends.

Also, the 13 Scooter is excellent and the 14 Boxer needs more time.

Point of clarification: when you say "friends" do you actually mean multiple people or just yourself?

Because from the information provided we still can't determine if he's a good guy or if he was just trying to get you drunk to take advantage of your wine knowledge*

I'm pleased to report that pope has unselfishly bought my Bud heavies from the first day I met him... and that was like 5 or 6 or 7 years ago. He had no idea I would later treat him to some fair-to-middling wine.

I'm doing colour commentary on 'Live at the Bike' tonight. I don't know if anyone cares.

Also I'm broke, so if anyone wants to put me into a couple of WSOP sats I'm keen for something like a 50/50 split, as a bonus I'll run food out to you in events as I know the Vegas Dave guy because I used to order the '100 meal pack' back when I had money.

If your wine is merely fair-to-middling, then Prince is only kinda not feeling well today.
04-22-2016 , 07:55 PM
Prince isn't feeling anything today, so you're saying Leo has no wine knowledge

You just "I could care less"ed all over his field of expertise

ZOMG,

Wine- like poker- is an easy game to learn, but a hard one to master. Wine isn't my field of expertise, it's a flawed and consuming avocation.

I will, however, leave you with a nugget: 2013 Petite Petit. It's a blend by Micheal David and should be available for about 4 reds. Thank me later.

You mean like Mastermind?
04-23-2016 , 12:43 AM
Yesterday I spilled a glass of wine on my pants and had to toss them, so I'd say Mastermind is easier.

Posted my WSOP package if you guys interested: http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/18.../#post49876950

So let me get this straight DD... in addition to any profits that you make with your 25ish% of your action, you are getting a 1.21 markup from backers, sponsorships, and TV table money if you go deep? If you don't mind my asking, how does sponsorship/TV money work and is it significant?

That sounds pretty awesome and like I should at least consider getting involved in the WSOP in the future. I have come to realize in the past year that I think I could probably handle the pressure of playing on TV and having goofy pictures of me playing poker posted on the internet. So that is why I am asking lol. I used to think of the WSOP as some sort of hell on earth where poker players bro fist each other 24/7, spend thousands on dumb **** like bottle service and pit games, and dream of getting on TV. But it sounds like it has the potential to be very profitable even if I am not a fan of the baller lifestlye.

what you used to think is more accurate than what you seem to be thinking now

Yeah there is basically zero chance I make any sponsorship money it's just a disclaimer I think makes sense to put. I'm a bland white guy in a sea of bland white guys I could win 4 bracelets and nobody would remember my name a year later.

Is it ever alright to berate the fish? Or should you always be nice because they are the fish? There are certain personality types that just rub me the wrong way.
05-02-2016 , 04:01 AM
Depends what you mean by berate. I'm against giving fish special treatment. If they're slowing down the game, they need to be told. If they continue to do so, they need to be warned. If they are overly aggressive, swearing at players and dealers, they need to be warned. No one should be above the rules.
05-02-2016 , 06:19 AM
Fish absolutely should and do get special treatment. That doesn't mean they get to do whatever they want, but thinking otherwise is just silly.
05-02-2016 , 08:35 AM
not really. as far as them getting to take their action back because they miss something, yes. but i think it's important to still occasionally rib the fish in a friendly fashion. i think some regfish begin to suspect something when the good players are ribbing each other, but always saying "nice hand" to the fish.
05-02-2016 , 09:22 AM
That's not what I mean at all.

This is like one of those choose your own adventure games.

So you're playing and the action in the game does something marginally out of line.

If you want to make a big deal out of it and call the floor/etc, goto page 7.

If you laugh it off and say, "you got me man...nice one", goto page 9.

Page 7:
Congrats! You suck at life, enjoy your horrible game.

Page 9:
Congrats, you chose wisely! Get a round of drinks for the table and enjoy printing money.
