Bremen,

You know the answer is the 20 game. I'd play 40 though.

I make this decision every day. 40/80 with 2 retards, 3 winning players, and 4 guys who can dress themselves, or 20/40 with 1 other guy who might be able to tie his shoes.

Re: April Low-Content Thread

You wanna win? Come back out to CAZ and play the 6-12 0/8 game. I sat in it for an hour today while 'recycling' myself thru the 20 list. Every low-limit 0/8 game in the country is a joke but the jackpot here is now $24,500 (quad 5's or better beaten), and they have 8 games going at 3-6 and 6-12. Most times the games play lolbad/funny w/ some halfway decent players but now it's off the rail because many HE players are sitting in. I played 1 hand in the hour, won it and left +132.

Normally the stuff I see in that game is just plain lol. But today I thought I was looking at a game filtered thru a kaleidoscope, bounced off a fun-house wacky mirror after I dropped acid. If only they would play 10-20 I'd suffer the excruciating boredom and play it exclusively.

There were 7 players/flop bec. I and some random would fold pf. Everybody else? Q-9-5-2 for a raise? OK! The day game is often no good w/ small pots. The night games are much better. I know at least one guy who makes a small living at it. The other day at the end of a hand he was asked why he'd been calling. He showed his hand and said 'I had a total wrap for high'. Meanwhile the flop came w/ 2's and he didn't have a single one. And this is a big winner in the game.

But who has the patience? Can you imagine 2,000 hours at that game? 10-20, maybe. I'd show up w/ books and magazines and get more music for the iPod and even then it'd be horrid.

i seriously wouldn't be surprised if that game went at a pace of like 10 hands/hr. every showdown takes 2 minutes because no one can read the low hands, especially the dealer

More than that of course but you've captured the essence. A 20 pro lurker friend of mine sat in it the other day and was telling me exactly what you just wrote. There were a couple of hands that took 4 ppl to figure out who had what. I've also heard dealers yelp w/ delight when an 0/8 game breaks down and that they don't have to go deal it.

super easy decision and its not even one of your options. help them start the 80 game.

brag: got surfdoc to go outside and play live poker for the first time in 20 years. he looked like he thoroughly enjoyed receiving 30 hands an hour instead of the 500+ he is accustomed to

brag again: im a 25/50 plo/nlhe expert apparently. i played one nl hand horrendously obliterating 2k and got 6 outted in a 5kish pot with 2 to go in plo and still won money somehow

I was pretty impressed by the way the animals don't even try to behave. I seem to recall that some sort of beat usually set them off but what in the world was going on when that monster fish with KT caught turn 9, river T vs my QJ on 89T board and then starts screaming and dancing to his ipod, banging the table. I honestly thought he was going to start walking on his knuckles and flinging his own feces.

The best part was watching his face when he turn CRAI overbet his Q high flush vs your nut flush. The fastcall was so epic I am not sure he even finished saying "all-in." It sounded like "I am all inkal."
