No $hit! 90%?!?!?

You reckon we could just start a "charity fund" or some such to send him down here right away?

I pledge $37.68.

Howard, pope, dc- ya'll can help a fellow 2+2er, right? And now- special circumstances being what they are- I feel confident that my pal, Doug L.- will "step up to the plate" as well.

Just consider my pledge an official 2+2 challenge.

Yeah, I know... weighing 150 lbs., even after eating the Bay101 Quad Treys special (3 eggs, 3 bacon, 3 sausages, 3 pancakes), has its disadvantages.

You need to fear this guy when he gets back from his life-altering experience in the South. He'll be drinkin' a bottle of Booker's with a straw and wearin' a six-shooter when he graduates from the "Women love poker players down here" school.
Nice. I swear I'm going to buy some cowboy boots or a hat or something, although I'm about as cowboy as Chau Giang. When I hit my next poker milestone, it's either that or a bottle of blue label.

doc, if I ever make it out south or you make it out west, the first round is on me.

I knew it! I friggin' knew it. Those folks out there just rip ya off by hording the bacon and sausage. Well, if you ever get down South, I insist on buyin' breakfast. OK?

No problem at all. And if you're the decent bloke that I think you are, the second and third round are on you, too. I got the rest, though.

We good?

Re: April Low-Content Thread

After a week of spazzing out and being nice for once, Commerce went back to forcing new players to post when coming into the game.

But they still only take $1 now preflop instead of $2. That cut the cost of chopping in the blinds in half, so now I chop again. Chopping is the new playing.

Re: April Low-Content Thread

Ya i went back to Comm on Thursday, they seem to have gotten there act together. 2$ preflop was a sick joke. Although i think its better to chop at 40 level and below. I doubt most people can over come the 5BB/100 rake hu at 40/80.

$1 pre-flop is only for 20/40 up. The plebes in 9/18 and lower still pay $2, and we pay for our food as well.

No way jose. I stopped chopping this year and it has been great mostly just because I love playing every hand possible. Also whats the difference between rake HU between SB,BB or CO,BB when you go to flop? Are you going to stop opening the button because you dont want to play a pot HU? I dont think I understand what you are saying in the second sentence there...

Awesome Com 40 hand though from earlier this year. I raise TT in SB and BB calls with 93o. T33. We go 7 bets on the turn and she puts in her last 1.5 bets on the river.

In middle stakes we only care about upper middle class problems. Not lower upper middle class.

Re: April Low-Content Thread

Is it bad karma to let two other players buy you grey goose (first a shot, then a double or "cup") then get must moved, take your 2 racks of profit and cup of vodka, win two more racks, and cash out 6 racks before the shot buyers get moved to your table. Also this is 3 chip 6 chip 30/60 so clearly an upper middle class problem.

I'm really starting to reconsider my foray out West. All this talk about having to actually purchase liquor at the table has me worried that I may not break-even for the trip unless I play those "scared money" limits.

Hah no I'll still be playing the same in LP, maybe opening lighter or tighter, if i see something when looking left.

At commerce the house will take 5+1 if a hands goes to the river. That extra dollar is for JP, so you can argue you'll make it back. In 100 hands of SB vs BB the house will drop 500(5x100). Though not all hands will see the flop or river so it'll be a little less. lets say the house averages 400 per 100 or 5 BB/100. Most online huhu players dont make over 5BB/100, and if you do then your in the top 5%. So basically you have to be pretty good just to break even with the rake at the 40/80. No one is beating the rake hu long term at 20/40. Plus the fact it slows down the game, gives you a bad image, etc. its not worth it IMO

edit: you could say youre playing half the rake though, but still hard to overcome

Seriously just buy captain R his first two drinks and you'll be free rollin' the whole time.

Sweet Jesus man, do you realize the chaos that would ensue if they gave out free drinks? I mean....it'd be a circus.
