Re: Another Gross Spot

vs. 44+,A4s+,K9s+,Q9s+,J9s+,T9s,A9o+,KJo+,QJo you have 37.5%. so just call down imo. (i think you need like 32%). im obviously no where near as qualified as others in this thread, but i've at least tried to think about this spot a lot (again, not that thats worth anything).

I think handedness matters somewhat, if this was 4 handed vs 9 handed, ranges would be a little wider, his perception of yours would definately be, so then his 3! range should be wider too.

No, they wouldn't. We are talking about good players, not some idiots at $2/$4 game who "perceive" a 4-handed game differently from a 9 handed game. If it's folded to you on the button, your opening range is your opening range, determined only by the players in the blinds. And nobody is thinking about the "bunching effect" either.

Clearly here is an opportunity for experts. I muck ATo all day in a nine-handed game but I'm jamming it up for infinite bets if it's four-handed.

in the actual hand i check folded because i was multi-tabling i think, but as soon as i did it i thought, "that's got to be too weak"

i really don't know the best way to play to hand. i think my guess is sort of like the other hand where we call flop always, and call turn and river sometimes.

I'm disappointed; you didn't raise your hand.

Re: Another Gross Spot

There are a lot of players i just check/fold this against, but in general wouldn't the correct strategy require some mixing? Like I think we should probably peel the flop and call down some of the time, but mindlessly calling down on all turn/river combos has to be incorrect.

yeah see my post just above, i think you are right. ofc knowing the actual percentages and what not is quite different from guessing the form of the solution.

Re: Another Gross Spot

it's spots like these why its important to have a balanced c/c range on the flop so that they can't just value bet you to death on the turn.

omg results?
