Just checking with you peeps.

I have played with CO a lot. She is trying to play well as coached by her husband (or boyfriend...don't know; he is a 40/80 regular with whom I've never played). She is typically solid pre flop, and alters her play post flop, sometimes pressing good hands on the flop, sometimes delaying to the turn.

20/40, 9 handed.

UTG+1 and HJ limp (both mellow, just like we like'em), CO checks her option (her first hand today), folded to me in the BB and I check J2

The flop is 743

Checked to CO who bets, I just call (considered check-raising), limpers fold

The turn is J

I check-raise, she 3-bets, I call

The river is 9

I check-fold

Me too. We want $ going in multiway. The only person with a reasonable chance of betting is villain, which makes multiway money less likely.

I'd screwplay turn a nonzero amount too.

River seems pretty exploitative too, no? Must she have a pair of Jacks beat this often?

I have lots of history with her too.

I think after the turn goes 3! a pair of J with the 2 kicker can't be good more than 5% of the time. Nice hand!

Flop: j2 has the worst equity of any FD we could hold. Only 2T 29 28 might be worse, but I'd argue there are way more jx in limpers hands than Tx 9x 8x. Due to passivity of limpers, I don't mind donking all flush draws. don't hate checking 28-2Jhh either though.

River: j2 should be close to the bottom of our value turn xr range.
Not quite the bottom though, as We might have some 9xhh. It's a close fold but not that exploitative despite being top pair given turn action.

I agree she is definitely capable of b3b! with combo draws but for this particular board I simply cannot find enough combo draws for her to do that.
89h? A5h? those are just non pair flush draws + gutshots, I expect her to bet-call the turn with those. Maybe A3h?

Oh, and she said she has no recollection of this hand which makes it more likely that she did not make a move I will sure remember hands when I b3b bluff the turn and end up scooping the pot assuming it happened recently...

Thanks guys for chiming in. And I totally see the point about betting the flop, so no need to drag this any further on my end.
