Does anyone have any experience in this room? I know the first rule of fight club but any info on the game would be appreciated. Also hotel info if anybody has stayed somewhere nice and reasonably priced for a 2 week stay.

Was going to post that link, as well. Several regulars in the game post in the thread. Game goes daily, afaik. It is on Bravo. Just like everywhere, more games on weekends. As a local, I have little experience finding hotels around there. I think the Ameristar rooms are on the pricey side, though if you're playing in a big 30/60 game, a $100+/night room might not be the biggest issue. The Player's card up there used to be $2/hour.

Haven't played up there in a while. Good luck if you go.

I was in Boulder a few months ago and did a first time day trip to Blackhawk. I got to Ameristar around 2:00 and the game had a board with 5 players on a Thursday. They started a second game around 8:00 as I was leaving. From what I was told you need to be there when the game starts in the morning or have lots of patience.

I went on the Ameristar website and for 7 days Monday through Monday in February was 700$ before taxes. So even even if I'm playing 30/60 1400$ for two weeks is more than I was wanting to pay!

At my local Casino I was recently promoted in VIP level and have access to $4 beers 5-9pm on weekdays. How's that for something?

I think alcohol is free at the table in Blackhawk. With the drive down looming, it doesn't seem that attractive, but it seems likely you could order two beers per trip of the server. If it is only one, assume that half the table would be willing to help out with a full order.

Also, craps is the degen game of choice for poker. Then you can stand there wondering how you're playing green chips on the pass line while someone assures you that with comps you're losing less than $1 in EV per throw.
