I do think it is time for results!

Would be sick if Hero and first villain both folded and second villain didn't show...

Heh, that was my thought too when SP said it was a bad beat thread. This feels way more like a "a made a bad fold" bad beat thread than "I got rivered" bad beat thread

it makes a lot less sense preflop and it would be weird to not cap the turn but raise the river with 66. it's not as likely.

i guess it is possible MP has 66 and fish has TT. but not often nearly enough to call 2 more bets and possibly a cap.

River K (14BB)

I bet, MP 2 bets, Fish 3! and has a **** eating grin on his face. (20BB)

Does hero save money and fold realizing that the fish really has KQ!!!! and rivered the nuts? Or does Hero call and pray he is good
In a situation like this, I hero call. There's a possibility MP has kings, but he could also play like he did with pocket tens or pocket aces. As for that extremely fishy player, yeah, he could take a Little Slick that far. Believe me, I've seen worse from FLHE fish. If he did, well, them's the breaks. If fish didn't win sometimes, they wouldn't play. Let him keep it up, and you'll get his chips later. As for his ****-eating grin, that could mean just about anything: maybe he hit his kicker and thinks his kings over is now good?

If MP binked on the river, nothing you can really do about that. It happens. This is fixed limit, not no limit, and it's not a stack decision. With this much doubt and the pot size, I'm not gonna be second guessing here. Folding rivers too easily at fixed limit will do far more damage to your 'roll than making the occasional call with 2nd or 3ed best.

The fish's play makes no sense, but when doea a fish's play ever make sense? MP's play, though, does make sense. Hero open-raises, and MP 3!. He could do that with pocket aces, kings, queens, tens, or Big Slick, or maybe a suited Little Slick.

He'd play the flop the same way with these hands, as the board comes down dry. He'd certainly play an overpair like he did. He'd play a pair of tens the same way since he got in the last raise pre, and has no particular reason to fear that lone jack, as Hero could have played ( A,K ) as he did. He might play ( A,K ) like that as well, having two overs, and no reason to suspect he's so severely far behind. As far as MP is concerned, if he wasn't Hollywooding, then his comment about pairing the board looks like he's got an overpair and is now worried he's up against jacks over tens. That turn card didn't complete anything, and he's surely not gonna want to see a paired board if he knows it makes a boat

MP could play the river the same way if he has aces, queens, or trip tens. Big pot + Big doubts= call. It's not like a fish with a ****-eating grin who'sd been a massive Luck Box so far stuffs a big stack all-in at no limit.

I got second place after this race was over. The "lucky fish" had AQ of diamonds and the other player had 66's.

I called. I figured better to call and not have the winner than fold the winner in this spot.

i think i could come to the correct conclusion a large percentage of the time. it's so overwhelmingly rare for a fish to have anything other than the nuts on the river here.
