My feeling is we have to bet to fold out ace high.

Yeah, I don't see how you can win this pot w/o a bet.

That doesn't mean betting is correct

What hands that call down like that will fold to a bet on the river?.

Barring (2-5)x hands raising pf, all pocker pairs are overpairs to the board but 77, all else that calls made top pair, straight, set, or flush.

Why did you bet the turn?

I think this is a good question. I was thinking there was a decent chance I had the best hand and that if he folded like a 10js or 910s or something that was ok too. Also, part of it was just probably just a reflex c bet which I try to avoid so any feedback on my thought process behind the turn bet would b appreciated.

Flip a coin and bet/fold or just give up

Re: 20-40 kq 3 bets pre from sb then river decision

I Ch/F river as played. I think his turn calling range is almost entirely Ax or weak pairs, almost all of which will be A5/A3 types.

I feel we would have heard from 99 and even 87s/77 by now. Even if he plays them passively, I doubt they make up enough of a range to target with a bluff. I have a hard time seeing villain raising pre with K4/K5s or 75s.

I think turn is an interesting spot and shouldn't necessarily be an auto c-bet.
