Hand 1:

Good player opens the highjack, I 3 bet AJ

Spot cold calls on the button. His range is very wide. On flops, he will donk/raise with top pair or decent draws. Doesn't often raise middle pair. Folds back to HJ who calls.

Flop is A96

I bet, spot raises, good player takes two to the face, I call.

Turn 4

Checks around.

River is A

Good player checks, I check.

Hand 2:

Extremely laggy preflop player raises UTG+1 (8 handed), good but very tight preflop player colds calls in MP, I cold call black KQ on the button. Both blinds call. SB is spot from Hand 1.

Flop is KT9

SB donks, BB folds, UTG+1 calls, MP calls, I call.

Turn is T

Sb bets, UTG+1 calls, MP folds, I call.

Hand 1 seems mostly fine.. probably betting the river most of the time but otherwise ok

Hand 2, I like raising the flop, and like calling the turn as played

Hand 1 I think you have to 3b flop.

Hand 2 i think you have to 3b pre.

Hand 1: I would 3bet the flop. The good player looks to have either a flush draw or a weaker ace and the weaker player could easily have a worse ace, flush draw, or even something like Th9h if your read is off.

When the turn gets checked through, I think you need to bet the river. You will get paid off by weaker aces, which are likely hands for both good player and weak player. There's no reason to think anybody has the Ks or Qs here unless good player is trying to c/r the river with KsTs/KsQs.

Hand 2: I think you played it fine. I'd plan on raising a good turn given that he has a wide range here and you are almost definitely ahead of UTG+1 and MP. With Kh or Qh maybe you can consider raising the flop.

On hand 1 I think you have a 3 bet on the flop. You are out of position vs. the spot and with the strong Ace and backdoor flush possibilities we'll want to keep the initiative on the flop. I see spots raise draws in this type of situation looking for a free card. It's a bad play and a 3 bet is the way to take advantage of it. It's unlikely the good player is going to slow play a monster on this flop so his call makes me think we're ahead of him the large majority of the time. If he's slow playing a monster god bless him. As played definitely bet the river and you can think about donking the turn, but I usually miss this opportunity live.

On hand 2 I'd put in a raise preflop. You're ahead of a loose opener and the tight player cold call feels like QJ or J10 suited... something along those lines. Put in the third bet and see if you can get the blinds dead money in there. On the flop I'd put in a raise. If the small blind 3 bets you that's not necessarily a bad thing as it may get some folds and you have a good draw if you are behind. I might just be a raising monkey though

Wow I do not like 3 betting flop in hand 1 or 3 betting pre in hand 2. Both seem way too overoptimistic. I think hand 2 pre just folding should be considered. Hand 1 seems like if exactly one river bet goes in its best if we do it.

I think flop 3b in hand 1 is good.

Spots PF range is very wide ==> includes ~all Ax and close to all suited spade combos. Good player may cap Ak/Aq pre, decapitating his range. I'm for being optimistic.

Hand 2; call along since we have button and there are bad players in the pot.
