Stryyke Poker (OnGame) sketchy behavior Stryyke Poker (OnGame) sketchy behavior

10-30-2008 , 05:25 AM
Matt at PokerSavvy PMed me to let me know about some shady goings-on at Stryyke Poker.

"Basically, Stryyke Poker, who we used to promote, has turned out to be very sketchy. They're skipping out on a $23k debt they owe us and are also blocking player withdrawals. I'd want to warn both affiliates and players to stay away from these guys."

Matt and the guys over at PokerSavvy have always done right by me and given me top-notch service, so I have no reason to believe his PM was motivated by anything but a sincere desire to warn others, and I didn't hesitate to pass this along.

I read the thread on PAP as well. Will be interesting to hear what the deal is.

I was a regular player there until 1-2 months ago, when a friend of mine warned me that Stryyke is going down since their "sister site" Wuaw gaming just bankrupted. I could never find any information in what manner are they "sister sites", but it appears they shared the same building in Malta and sent similar e-mails, plus all these problems started exactly at that time, so they must indeed be related and since Wuaw gaming is officially bankrupt and couldn't make their payments, it's logical that Stryyke will not be able as well?

Bobo - thank you for your post and your kind comments, I appreciate it.

As Slider said, the details are in a long thread at PAP so I won't post them again here unless others want me to. And IEatChipz, I'm frankly not sure whether Stryyke is in financial difficulty or if they're just being unethical. Either way, players and affiliates should be on notice.

We've been in this industry for over 4 years and we've only ever had 2 incidents like this. In my mind, that's a pretty good track record for an industry that is often unfairly criticized. And while I really don't like airing our private matters on public forums, I think that it's important that the community know about these kinds of issues as I'd hate to see more players or more affiliates hung out to dry.

Hi everyone,

My name is Bruno Parsons, i am the affiliate manager / poker manager for Stryyke. First i would like to clear all this false information. At PAP you will find the invoice sent out by Matt Crystal. I have also uploaded the paid invoices.

The second thing that i would like to clear up is

The guy who placed the blog saying "Wuaw Gaming" is our sister company and they went bankrupt. If you are going to write something down atleast get your facts straight. I have never heard of Wuaw gaming and we have no affiliation with them.

Second we are part of the Ongame Network, which contains a large base of players.

Take a look at the PAP site and there you will find the truth regarding these false accusations by Matt.

Its very easy to blame someone without any prove, but the truth always wins via proof ( like bank transfers).

I have been playing at stryyke for several months pretty regular now and never had a problem. Always getting the bonus and withdrawals work fine too.

Hi Bruno,

I actually said I could never find any info anywhere about your afiliation to Wuaw, but that friend of mine is a bettor who's been a customer of both and he said your e-mails are similar and you are (or were) located in the same building. There could be other reasons for him claiming that, like being mad because he has lost money from both wuaw and stryyke and I would have really not believed it if there didn't happen some weird things at Stryyke exactly at that time - with your bonuses, updates, etc. I have a problem with my stryyke account which has not been solved for over a month now and I am not signed up via savvy or anything - just somehow everything was perfect at stryyke 2 months ago and things have changed since, regardless is this connected with wuaw's bankrupting, which happened exactly then... I am sorry for giving wrong information, I meant it as a question but obviously nobody has heard of any relation between you and wuaw, so it's probably not true at all.
10-31-2008 , 10:22 AM
IeatChipz,

If they have similar emails that could be because they were both provided by OnGame.

If they were located in the same building, you should realize that most of these sites simply have their license in Malta or wherever, and are not actually based there. With the very small rooms, it is usually just one or two people who do marketing and the network does the rest. They could easily both have had a PO Box in the same building, is what I am getting at.

I have no affiliation with Stryyke and never heard of them before today, just saying that the evidence you have listed, is nowhere near enough to link these sites.

Sorry, I do realize that so many poker sites have their address in Malta. Actually, Wuaw was on the Entraction platform not OnGame and it's Danish, while Stryyke is German, so basically I also don't understand the connection between the two if there's any. I wouldn't have been bothered if right the next day after I was told they are "sister sites" some weird things started happening at Stryyke. I have been a regular player there for a few months (no problems with them until my bonus stuck and they won't fix it for so long) and they have always been a great place to play, but then for real something is different the last 1-2 months, so I had the inclination to believe my friend was correct about his idea the 2 sites are connected. Obviously nobody else thinks they are related, so my apologies once again for posting this in the first place.

Hi all,

If you do decide to read the thread at PAP you'll realize that what Bruno says about the bank transfer is only partially true. He sent it on October 30th, after he realized that Stryyke's reputation was at risk. I'm glad they decided to pay part of what they owe us, but to claim that the funds were transferred weeks ago is just plain false.

Thx.

You can contact me directly via email with your user and i will make sure that your bonus is running properly, sorry for any problems this may have caused you. i will make sure to credit the account and give you a free tournament ticket.

I can be contacted at parsons@stryyke.com

I'm glad to see Bruno stepping up to respond and as I said on PAP I'll be the first one to give Stryyke credit if they make things right for us and our players.
10-31-2008 , 06:52 PM
Bruno has been in touch with me via email and says he is taking care of 2 key player issues and also our affiliate payment. We shall see but as of now we seem poised for a happy ending to this saga. I'll let you know.

Happy Halloween!

I think Stryyke's behaviour in this PokerSavvy situation seems very unprofessional.

That said, I cashed out a small amount from Stryyke to NETELLER yesterday, and it arrived within 24 hours. So, for me, no problems with payments taking a long time.
11-01-2008 , 08:38 PM
I cashed out a mere $200(its big for me) to Click2Pay and I also got it in less than 24 hours.
Hopefully everything will be cleared up, Id hate to lose some of my BR, and VIP status.

I opened my account and signed up via boogster at skryyke, due to some reasons, I have not yet deposited any money. Last time I checked with stryyke, i was told I have been tracked to boogster properly. Since all issues seems resovled by now and skryyke appears to be a good ongame poker site to play, am i still qualified for the deals (kickback & bonus) if I make first deposit now?

Thanks

I withdrew 1k from stryyke to my neteller account almost a week ago and havn't got it. Pretty slow for a "immediate" withdraw method
11-05-2008 , 11:42 AM
same here, withdrew my last 230 euro or so last thursday and its been as "immediate"... still waiting...

actually its never been immediate, i dont know why does the cashier say that, i've withdrawn several times and it used to take 1-2 days...
11-05-2008 , 12:44 PM
well, it does help posting in this thread, my withdrawal already arrived safe and sound minutes after posting here it actually says up to 7 days for withdrawal and took 6 days, so they are within their own time frames, no problems i would say all sites tend to take longer when you are clearing your account to the very 0.00 so its comprehensible

I also made a small withdrawal with moneybookers and nothing has done since 6 days.....
Until now i was very satisfied with stryyke. All bonus and extras were paid fast in the past. But 6 or 7 days is extremely to much time for a simple click.

Quick and important update: a few days ago we received the bulk of what was owed to us by Stryyke and Bruno assures us that he is swiftly taking care of the remainder. He is also taking care of the players that we were concerned about. So it looks like we're on track for a happy ending and I appreciate Bruno's help in that regard.

Thx.

Well, I made a withdrawal with moneybookers 10 days ago...and nothing. Stryyke got some problems with payouts now? I know that my friend is in similar situation as me.
11-14-2008 , 07:07 AM
Arg! Just saw this thread and i guess we are all in a similar situation : 9 days i asked for a payout thru moneybookers ,and so far nothing tho i emailed them several times.

I ve just emailed parsons, hope he can sort it out

please, lets stay in contact with each other, if one of you received your funds, post about it in this thread
