This is really ****ing annoying, they lower agreed rakeback %, they now are inaccessible, don't answer ****. I mean wtf, can we move our rakeback elsewhere?

re: Rakeupdate/Rakereduction Closed August 8th, Players Remain Unpaid
I have (had) several thousand dollars on rakereduction.
This thread sheds some light on the situation:
http://www.pokeraffiliatelistings.co...reduction.html
This is what Ranna had to say:
Quote:
Hey everyone! Randy has been told not to talk to anyone, but that does not apply to me. I did the support on the EAS system for free. I was trying to help because Randy and Eric were drowning with work as there was no one else to help. As everyone knows the poker affiliate market took a huge hit on Black Friday. Following Black Friday AP/UB and Full Tilt were not able to meet their accounts payable so that was another huge problem for affiliates and players. Without Black Friday, I am positive that the EAS agreement with Rake Update would have gone without a hitch, but this is not the case.
EAS (Randy and Eric) had a lease agreement with Rake Update for them to use the software. The software was Randy's idea and Eric built the software. They were not paid by Rake Update to build the software. It was and is owned by Randy and Eric. Rake Update was unable to meet the contract agreements so it was decided to end the contract because the new terms that were put in place were unacceptable. This is an unfortunate situation for us (Randy, Eric, and I) as well as for Rake Update. Rake Update was given options to continue with the software, but they chose not to continue.
We are aware of the rumors that are flying around, but the simple truth is that we had a contract that was broken and we decided not to continue with the partnership. Since launching the software all of our time has been consumed with the software with no outside help (no help at all from Rake Update). There was a lot of confusion within the Rake Update company because the CEO did not understand how the poker affiliate world worked nor did the CEO understand how the software worked. The adventure was not profitable enough for us to spend all of our time working on just the software. Once the contract terms were abruptly changed there was no way that we could afford to continue.
I am very sorry that things have turned out the way that they have, and I know that Randy is sorry too. We were left with very few options. We offered to allow Rake Update to continue leasing the software at a discounted price compared to the original contract, but our services including player/affiliate support would no longer be included in the lease. They did not want to do this. We had no choice but to walk away. We have 6 teenagers and we have to have a steady source of income.
I wish Rake Update the best of luck and hope everything works out great for them. Again, both Randy and I are sorry for this very unfortunate situation. We had discussed launching the software ourselves in the beginning, and in hindsight this is what we should have done.

re: Rakeupdate/Rakereduction Closed August 8th, Players Remain Unpaid
That's most important. After Black Friday they were hit much by rakeback that was already in player accounts but not paid from UB and FT. My account is still showing negative MGR.
So it's "all about money". IMHO.
Don't know who to blame about this situation, but Randy stopped answering in skype right after BF.

re: Rakeupdate/Rakereduction Closed August 8th, Players Remain Unpaid
That's a standart anwser on 1st e-mail from support@rakeupdate.com. BTW they anwsering in matter of hours.
Quote:
- Why the RakeUpdate.com is currently down?
The current situation of RakeUpdate.com is due to Randy Layman, Owner and Marketing Director of Elite Affiliate Software (EAS) abruptly ending the use of their (EAS) software and without any professional notice.
Normally, software companies give their clients a 30 to 60 day termination notice. That would have been the more professional manner to which Mr. Layman could have conducted and represented his company before ending service.
RakeUpdate was given 0 days notice to prepare for the termination of service. As such, we were not given time to prepare for a data migration to new software.
However, we are actively working on establishing a software solution for RakeUpdate/RakeReduction and will be updating you with new developments as they become available.
- Why can't you access your account?
On Thursday, August 4, 2011, Randy Layman, Owner and Marketing Director of Elite Affiliate Software (EAS) cut off access to the software system our players used to access their accounts on RakeUpdate.com and RakeReduction.com.
- Why can't you request a cashout?
The Elite Affiliate Software (EAS) package was the RakeUpdate/RakeReduction user interface system in which players and RakeUpdate staff could access their stats, process support tickets, cashouts and executed daily, weekly and monthly events.
However, as soon as the new software system is in place things will return to a normal operational environment. At that point we will be processing all cashouts, updating stats regularly and offering new room deals.
I hope that helps you understand the software situation we are experiencing at this time. If you need more information or have additional questions, please do not hesitate to contact our support team at support@rakeupdate.com.
Thank you for your continued patience.
We value your trust in our company and service.
Sincerely,
Darby

Hello,
I apologize for the delayed response.
Please be assured that your money is 100% safe with RakeReduction/RakeUpdate.com.
We expect to have a few days downtime while getting our new software in place.
This wasnt planned but Randys hasty departure left us no choice.
All play while site being down will show up as soon as we are up and running again.
Any questions please either post here, send a PM or email support@rakeupdate.com

nice to hear from you, at least the silence is broken. 2 Questions
1.What about the reduced rakeback received on Bodog recently @30% when agreement was more.
2.What about additional payout options other than Cake Carbon FTP and Moneybookers?

Snapple, I dont see why this is relevant. A number of rakeback affiliates owned microgaming skins and all lost them when Tusk failed. Starting a witch hunt for old skin owners (many of whom lost far more than you) seems pointless.

Depends on why and how it failed and if it defaulted with peoples money or if there was anything dodgy then it could well be relevant.

Unacceptable that the website has been down almost a week now. Blaming it on someone else who isn't part of the company is laughable, at best. Obviously, they should have had a contingency plan in place if the software wasn't owned by them.

crap support. these guys are thieves. you should take your business someplace else. warn everyone you know.
if you have carbon poker rakeback with them, contact carbon and get away from them. you can get much more % if you tell carbon you dont want rakeback you want VIP the internal stuff instead
like 53% compre to 35%

Bodog players: let's ban together and become a force to be reckoned with. We will tell Bodog to pay us the rakeback directly or we will halt all play on their site.
