rakeback sites by law

Greetings!

My friend and I are opening a new rakeback site and we are interested in, how do all these foreign rakeback sites operate normally even though in most countries, this activity is prohibited by law and should be punished by a fine?

We are trying to make our site legit, so any kind of help is welcomed.

Thanks a lot!

I find it hard to believe that it is prohibited in most countries, but I imagine they...operate in countries where it isn't prohibited!

Lot's of rakeback sites do operate in countries where this kind of activityes are legal, but in some others i know for a fact that it is prohibited by law and they are not getting prosecuted.

Hi Hrvoje,

It's important to make the differentiation between offerring the ability to play real money games and simply sending traffic to poker rooms who offer the service.

I understand the law is a bit of a grey area in Germany, but in countries like the UK and even the USA there doesn't seem to be any clear law that applies to affiliates.

Hope this helps,

Jamie

the best advice is : why you want to open one, for making money or having a hobby, im sure the market is full with any rakeback sites ..especially PAS< RTR and RBE did their best that you cna have your own rakeback site in 5 minutes.

So for making money i would advice finding soemthing else

And there are people who have gotten away with murder, robbery, and numerous other crimes. Could be that legal authorities have bigger fish to fry than rakeback affiliates, and most taxpaying citizens would probably prefer their resources be used on other priorities.

i understand what you mean, but in our country exist some of rakeback sites that are making money illegally or without paying taxes.. my question was basically, particularly in these times when economy isn't doing so well and countries need more income therefore how come that government doesn't put any fines on them?

i know it probably pays of doing it illegally for a lot of rakeback sites in some way but in case you ever get caught, than some of them might regret their decision.

It's also worth noting that any company in the UK (for example) has to pay corporation tax, PAYE (on employees' salaries), National Insurance and rates for offices.

So it's definitely not like the government gets nothing or has a reason to be unhappy with poker affiliates in the UK.
