Rake back question

HI,

I'm considering playing on an alternate site that offers better rakeback deals for my level of grinding and level of play.

I would like some estimates on how much rakeback i will get so i can make some comparisons.

I want to use Black Chip Poker as an example with 35% rakeback.
I couldn't find out how there rake is caclulated so i assumed the same as stars.

Using hm2 over 10k hands rake was $42.33. Rake on winning hands was $48.68.
Do i use one of those figures to calculate how much rakeback i should get. Eg 35% * 42.33 or 35%* 48.68.

Help would be most appreciated especially if i am way off track.

Re: Rake back question

well from 4NL to i think 50NL the different in what u rake in total are very little if u say stars , ipoker , ongame , merge , cake .

but 50NL at everleaf and enet there u rake more for sure than othersites .

i know stars tel u that there rake is smaller , i dont think u see much different before 200NL .

but play 25NL start vs 25NL merge with 35% RB you make more money for sure ( if your winnings are the same)

and i played all the sites , stars just not worth it . unless u wanna play 20 tables any time at the day

rake is contributed

10VIPpoints/$1 rake

i do not udnerstand why you have 2 rake showing , one for winning hands ?? and one for ... loosing hands ?

anyhow if you got paid : $42

than calcualtion is like : 42/35*100 = total rake

Re: Rake back question

35% * 42.33 this one

35% of your rake that is rakeback

not your winnings

Re: Rake back question

I think a little bit of maths confusion here.

35% * $100 = $35 or .35 * $100.

In answer to your question OP, you're best to calculate your rake over as large a sample as you can.

Hope this helps,

Jamie

I am familiar with your issue. One of the columns is likely "rake paid" and the other is "MGR" That said, depending on your style of play in a weighted contributed environment, your answer will lie somewhere between those two numbers.

Easiest thing is to simply split the difference and do your basic calculations on the middle number. That's how I play it.
