Is anyone out there a Silver member? Is it worth the money, do you think? What are the good and bad points about this site?

strategy vids or only worth it at gold+ but if you register and connect ps with your poker account you only have to rake 10 days $1 or so to get silver for free.

I don't think you can connect an already existing account, can you? I thought you had to use their links to register as a new member of a poker site if you want points on pokerstrategy.

Correct but you have the option of making an account on a site where you dont play. Put some money up there en rake $1 for 10 days on you have silver. Not that much effort if you really want silver.

The only site to which I don't mind using Pokerstrategy as an affiliate is Pokerstars (for those who happen to not have an account at the latter like I in Sept 2013, having raked over $9K to other sites before, out of which only $1K to FTP ). That's because Stars give ridiculously little money through affiliate promos anyway, and a video site subscription is a nice little freebie. (Though even in this case recreational players - potential Silverstars but not potential Supernovas - may prefer Raketherake with its $500 monthly freeroll.)

At other poker sites, some deals from the 2+2 Affiliate/Rakeback forum are consistently better by at least several % of rake.

So you'd better pay money instead of raking to a site under them; or sign up to some insignificant site like Mansion or Betfred that doesn't offer lucrative deals anywhere, and rake very little - but every day - to make use of the bonus strategy points which can secure the Silver membership or make 60% of the Gold requirement (leaving only 40% of it up to rake, which can be as small as $40-60 monthly). If you're an iPoker reg, play most of the volume at another skin on a really good deal.

With the Gold status (made up by 50% from bonus points and only by 50% from actual rake - Silverstar VPPs - which is 15+ times lower than my average iPoker volume under real non-Pokerstrategy deals ), I have access to most videos on SnGs by Collin Moshman and one other new maker that are being produced continuously. They're decent, and there's also a sizeable archive. However, the PLO section is poor, with only one good producer and much more outdated archive. I can't comment on NLHE cash as I don't play it, but there are some beasts there like at any other big video site.

Which iPoker client would you recommend? I've tried several of them and I just hated the software. I suppose they're all pretty much the same. I found them slow and clunky, they didn't work with Table Ninja, and the points system seemed confusing. Any tips?

Johnny: Also Unibet, Wincake, WPTPoker and Pokerheaven are partners of pokerstrategy if I recall correctly.

NLHE cash videos are only worth it from gold+. Bronze/Silver is the most basic stuff but I don't know your playing level ofc.

I'm still a Micros player but I'd like to get access to the Gold material because Colin Moshman's stuff looks great.

Hi mate,

You are right, the software is not the best outthere, the best software is FT in my opinion.

Cheers
