Still its a ridiculous policy. WTF are they thinking? Is it really better to lose a great amount of ppl, who wanna gamble on their site, just because they arent willing to terminate some (not even all) contracts? Of course, you are bound to any contract, but the thing about contracts is the following: You are able to terminate everytime you want to. Sometimes you have to pay a little fee, sometimes not. Its defined in the contract itself, how and when to terminate a contract (without any fees).

I got some newspaper every morning for 4 years, but now i want another newspaper, so i terminated the contract. They dont have a uncallable lifetime contract, which would be unlawful, because it would be some kind of slavery. See, that's what i mean. And if i decide to get my old newspaper again just 1 second later, i will get a new contract with new conditions (if they have changed), if they want my money. Companies usually want more money, so they will accept me as a customer. Of course they cant be forced to contract me, so they could decide (like FTP does), not to get money. Great business modell: I dont want your money, because u mean bastard terminated a contract last year or something. WTF?

Full Tilt Poker says: One account, you cant close and open a new one. And Full Tilt says, you are bound for lifetime to this account and you are not able to change the conditions under which you are playing there, because you cant really terminate the contract with FTP. So they are destroying their own business. Really? How dumb are they?

I would say, the only way to get rid of an affiliate is to wait till FTP changes their Terms and Conditions, so you can say, you dont accept the new Terms and Conditions. Maybe even then they wouldnt accept you as their (new) customer. What a ridiculous company FTP is. No wonder, Pokerstars is way bigger then they are.

Re: ** Official thread for discussion of RB for existing FT accounts and RakebackPros

first post in a long time cause haven't played much over the last year and a bit due to not having internet at home. but got it installed about two months ago and now the christmas and new years binge period has finished i wanna start getting back into the poker world.

but yeah i'm in the same boat as a lot of people. i signed up about 3 years ago either through poker listings or direct through the full tilt web site. hopefully the latter cause that may make convincing them easier. i'm pretty sure it's the latter cause i vaguely remember thinking why would i sign up through someone else to get a deposit bonus when full tilt will give me the exact same deposite bonus..... i cleared about $200 of that original bonus and have cleared about $100 in other random bonus offers they gave me overs the couple of years i was playing.

just created an account with rakebackpros and we'll see what the story is over the comings period. unfortunately i wouldn't have loads of volume (somewhere around 10k hands with highest stakes $0.25/$0.50 NL/PL or $2/$4 FL) to show them that i'm a really valuable customer. if i start putting in more volume now as i intend to do then cut FT off in about 4 months time that may be the best tactic to get rakeback sorted. see what happens i guess.

Re: ** Official thread for discussion of RB for existing FT accounts and RakebackPros

First post. Hope it helps someone.

I hadn’t been on FT in over two years, but after coming across this thread and reading through most of it, I decided to re-install FT and try and see if I could get rakeback. Glad I did! Thanks to all those who posted good info in this thread.

I first registered with RakeBackPros.com then emailed both them and FT asking to see if I could get rb. I wasn’t really expecting much since I hadn’t even been on FT in over two years, and back then I was only a micro-/low-stakes SNG and MTT player putting in relatively small volume - maybe 30hrs/wk at most.

So here is my email correspondence with FT and RBP:

[Early Sunday morning, Jan 30 2012]

Original Message Follows: ------------------------

Hello,

My FT user name is xxxxxxxxxxxx. I am writing to kindly inquire as to whether or not I am eligible for rakeback on FT. I created my FT account two or three years or so ago prior to having any knowledge of rakeback being available and I do not recall if I joined via an affiliate or not, or if I was subsequently tagged to one.

Thank You for your attention regarding this matter and I look forward to your response. (I have registered with rakebackpros.com and am also awaiting their response to my email inquiry.)

Sincerely,

xxxxxx

[I had emailed RakeBackPros with essentially the same request and info]

Hi xxxxxx,

Thanks for getting in contact with us about rakeback.

Although Full Tilt Poker does not offer rakeback directly to players, our preferred affiliate partner RakeBackPros.com offers rakeback to players who sign up through their website with Full Tilt Poker.

We've sent your player details to RakeBackPros.com and they will be in direct contact with you.

Regards,

Nicola

Nicola,

Thank You very much for taking the time and making the effort to help me with this matter.

Your assistance is greatly appreciated being that as a microstakes 6-max NLHE player, FT's 27% rb seems to be more beneficial to me than PS's rb equivalent for my level and amount of play - Silver Star/Gold Star status. And therefore, it would be more of an incentive for me to play at FT if I am successful in being granted rakeback privileges at FT.

Again, thank you for your assistance and time, regardless of the outcome. And I look forward to hearing from RakeBackPros.com.

Sincerely,

xxxxxx

Congratulations!

Please note that it may take up to 48 hours after your account is set up for rakeback before your statistics are updated with the correct data. After the initial update is displayed on the website, your stats will be updated daily.

If you have any questions about your rakeback, please feel free to contact us.

Enjoy your rakeback and good luck at the tables!

Sincerely,

The RakeBackPros Team

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I sent them back an email thanking them for their assistance and that I would definitely be enjoying getting rakeback at FT.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

As you can see by the dates and times, I was one of the lucky ones who got fast-tracked (less than 48hrs on a weekend!) to getting their existing account set up with rakeback - despite my two year absence from FT and even then, having only been a lowly micro/small stakes very low volume player there.

IMHO, after reading through most of this epic thread and seeing other people's experiences as well as mine, it seems that if you are polite, civil, non-threatening and don't come across as a complete demanding self-entitled douchebag, you might have a decent chance and might get lucky like me. It certainly didn't hurt in my case.

Yes, the email responses are automated, but real people do read them and how they perceive you could (maybe possibly - or not, who knows) be the difference between getting insta-approved or being put on the backburner to stew for days, weeks, months or even years as some have experienced.

In real life, I'm a bastard, but I am familiar the old saying that "You catch more flies with honey than you do with vinegar." Why anyone would want to catch flies, I don't know, but the point, they say, is that it is easier to persuade people if you use polite arguments and flattery than if you are confrontational.

It might possibly also have been my very subtle suggestion (and their inference) that by giving me rakeback, that they could steal me away from PokerStars. IDK.

Anyways, YMMV and Good Luck to you all in getting rakeback.

Re: ** Official thread for discussion of RB for existing FT accounts and RakebackPros

Wooooo!

After battling full tilt in e-mail over and over I had given up on trying. After reading this thread a few days ago it seemed like it would be worth it to e-mail rakebackpros and try my luck that way.

Well I got an e-mail from them today...

--------------------------

Hello Full Tilt player,

Thank you for registering with RakeBackPros.

We have reviewed your account details and regret to inform you that we will not be able to offer rakeback for your existing Full Tilt Poker account.

We have checked with Full Tilt Poker and your account is regrettably already attached to another affiliate and you are therefore not eligible to receive rakeback from us.

Unfortunately, we do not have any information about your current affiliate.

We wish you good luck in your future play on Full Tilt and apologize that we can’t be of any further assistance.

Sincerely,

The RakeBackPros Team

-------------------------------------

Well that sucks right? Well 7 hours later I got this e-mail from full tilt...

----------------------
Dear *******

--------------------

Kinda confused what happened here.

1. Rakeback Pros mistakenly sent me the wrong e-mail?
2. Full Tilt told Rakeback Pros I wasn't eligible so they wouldn't have to pay rb pros a commision?

I thought Full Tilt didn't offer there own version of rakeback but I wasn't instructed to sign up on rakeback pros or anything like that. Just had to accept on my promotions page.

Anyone know what happened here?

Re: ** Official thread for discussion of RB for existing FT accounts and RakebackPros

I downloaded FTP years back like everyone else, I have no idea if I signed up through an affiliate or whatever.

A couple months ago I uninstalled/erase cookies/reinstalled FTP, signed up through rakebackpros.
From what I've read, I was pretty sure I was drawing dead, but worth a try.

Got the Congrats. your now signed Rakebackpros email, fist pump, let's play some Rush Poker. Been getting RB ever since.

I decided not to email them at all to avoid any extra scrutiny. Not sure if that helped or I just didn't sign up with a affiliate, probably the latter.

For me it's Rush Poker or nothing. So playing on a different site was not a option, RB@ftp or Iam done with online poker, lucked out.

GL everyone, rakeback is the shizz.

they replied and everything should be fine i guess

Hello,

Thank you for contacting RakeBackPros.

When a purchase from the Full Tilt Store is canceled, the deduction made to your revenue should automatically be reversed and the value of the used Full Tilt Points will be added to the current rakeback week’s net revenue in normal circumstances.

We have contacted Full Tilt and it appears that the deduction caused for the cancellation has been reversed and we expect that you will receive the balance on February 11th.

Please contact us again if you have any further questions regarding your RakeBackPros account.

Regards,

Brad

Rakebackpros account error?

Hi, in the last couple of weeks iv started grinding a load of 6max 50NL rush so was assuming i was going to make quite a lot of rakeback. When i was checking my rakebackpros account daily it always seemed to have a lot less money in it than i thought it should considering the amount of hands i was playing.

I made a similar post earlier this week, but there was a risk that my estimates may have been out as id just been using a rough number of hands played*average rakeback per hand calculation. So I downloaded holdem manager and imported all the hands from these sessions since id started grinding 50NL rush and it said id payed $709 in rake.... so my total rakeback should be 27% of this.... which is $191.43.

There has only been $128 put into my rakebackpros account in this period, and i didnt play yesterday or today so far so there isnt anymore that is lagged to come in tomorrow. I also dont have a current bonus im clearing, no have i made any withdrawls, nor have i entered any MTTs that could of had overlay (which iv been told all reduce your rakeback)

I was hoping someone may be able to come up with an explanation for the lower rakeback and whether you can do anything about it (i.e. contacting my affilate) or whether ill basically just have to accept that it may not be the full amount and move on?

Thanks

Re: Rakebackpros account error?

Are you taking into account the fact that FT RB is contributed and not dealt?

Bobo fett - Yeah surely the figure in my holdem manager refers to the amount of rake I myself have paid, which is therefore contributed rake?
