If you played rush week it hit your MGR and you lost rakeback.

Wait so I lost like $80 in rakeback because of a $10 bonus? That doesn't make sense.

Re: ** Official thread for discussion of RB for existing FT accounts and RakebackPros

After reading this thread I contacted RakebackPros because I was one who never signed up with rakeback initially, and thought there might be something they could do. This was what I was told:

We're sorry we can't be of further assistance at this time.
But I never signed up with an affiliate. I have contacted FTP also about rakeback and am still waiting for their response. If they deny me then I'll ask them about this supposed other affiliate out there, but in the meantime does anyone know what this could be?

You're somewhere around player number 2,364 that has been told they signed up with an affiliate and doesn't know how that happened. You're going to get the same answer from FT, and you'll probably never know exactly how you were linked to an affiliate.

Interesting - exactly the same as my response.

I've contacted FTP and waiting a reply as to who my affiliate is as I can't remember having one.

Could it be a blatant lie? Scam? Is someone somewhere collecting my rakeback?

When I originally signed up through FullTilt is was on Dec 15, 2005. At that time I don't ever remember putting anything in the Referral Code section under the New Account page, but I may have. I don't really remember back that far. The only thing I can think of is there was some ad I saw that said to put their name in the referral section in order to get a deposit bonus.

But I still don't think so.

For anybody who is in the White Group for the weekly rake race on Rakebackpros..

By earning $100 in rake last week, I placed 1400 something, and got an extra dollar.... Woohoo.

I don't think you have to have entered anything in that field - a cookie from an affiliate is likely sufficient.

Re: ** Official thread for discussion of RB for existing FT accounts and RakebackPros

I just got the following:-

Thank you for contacting Full Tilt Poker.

After reviewing your account, I note that you are linked to a different affiliate.

The reason why you are not tracked to the affiliate of your choice is because you are already linked to another affiliate. You may have come across and clicked on a Full Tilt Poker link on another site in the past, and it is this link that attached you to the affiliate.

Full Tilt Poker has relationships with various affiliates, and they receive commission on all real money players they send to Full Tilt Poker. It would violate our Standard Affiliate Agreement to move a player off of their account.

Unfortunately, for privacy reasons we cannot disclose which affiliate you are linked to. Nevertheless, you have signed under a banner that is affiliated with Full Tilt Poker.

Please bear in mind that this is not an issue which can be solved by closing your current account and opening a new one. It is against Full Tilt Poker's policy to open more than one account.

Please contact us again if there is anything else we can assist you with.

How the hell can't they tell who I'm affiliated with??

I really don't think I can play FT next year if some unknown affiliate is getting 27% of my rake. This year I've paid $80,000 in rake so it's no small amount.

I don't know what to do now.

Any suggestions?

What does this mean?

Someone has done this to my computer without my knowing?

The more I investigate this the more I suspect foul-play.

Done something to your computer? No.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HTTP_cookie

As for the affiliate you are associated to, it's not going to do you much good to know who it is IMO, but some people have had success by finding out what bonus code they signed up under and then searching that.

The mystery affiliate might be getting a percentage of your rake, or they might have gotten a one-time CPA payment.

Hopefully it's the latter, because if not that means we have to convince FT to continue paying the 27% to the affiliate AND compensate us on top of this.

I'm in the same boat.

80k in rake.. I would switch to Stars full time.. Or pose Full Tilt with the threat. If your generating that much revenue for them they should be willing to provide an incentive to keep you on their site.
