I started playing poker seriously about a month or so ago, still in the micros but Im playing around 10k-20k hands a month so time to get my hands on some of that rake!
I tried searching about it but theres so much bull**** floating around on the internet I couldnt really find out much at all, so Im here for some hopefully unbiased, good advice on how to get a good deal.
I havent decided which poker room yet, but the most important thing to me is that they have soft competition, so 888 is looking the favourite... or possibly ladbrokes.
So does anyone know where, and how I can get a good rakeback deal for these or another very soft poker site? Im currently playing around nl5 but hoping to move up soon.
The point of the post was to get some opinions from other users not just the affiliates, of course I welcome information from anyone and am already speaking with a few people.
Anyway just to update, I guess I realized 888 doesnt offer any decent rake for low level users so thats off the list. Also I can add more specifically I play around 15k hands a month at nl5. Anyone know any soft sites that offer decent rake for my level?
i dont know about rakeback i was never reallt into it ,i read somewhere online that most rakeback players play 3 or 4 times the amount of non rakeback players ,so if your losing which be honest most online players loose more then they win your losing 3 or 4 times as much to get 30% or your rakeback back not really a smart move ,and some rakeback players get carried away with worrying about the rake instead of concentrating on just playing poker
I guess what I should have said is that you're badly interpreting them.
First of all, the player plays however much he plays - that statistic doesn't mean that every player who gets RB will suddenly play 3 or 4 times as much. Players who are higher volume and/or are professionals are much more likely to have rakeback than casual players. And the losing player part is just silly.
Basically, you're saying that because most players lose and rakeback players on average play more than non-rakeback players, he shouldn't get rakeback as he'll lose more money. Seriously? In that case, shouldn't your advice just be that everyone should quit poker?
Your very last part makes some sense, though. A lot of players do concern themselves a little too much with the rewards sometimes.
If you are going to play you need rakeback. I play on Cake which has 33% but is apparently slow at paying - hopefully it will improve with Lock coming on and now that I;ve actually built up something of a roll.
It shard enough to beat the game so the rakeback is essential IMO. Anyone have information on what other sites are doing, what rakeback they are offering??
