Scam warning: PNBkid Scam warning: PNBkid

First, let me say that I am fully aware that what I did was a risky move and that I definitely exposed myself to being scammed. I am just writing this post to avoid that PNBkid scams other 2+2 members.

Last January, PNBkid contacted me by PM regarding a post I made in a rakeback thread. He made a rakeback offer for the room I was looking for. After a couple of pms exchanged, it appeared that his offer was legitimate and I decided to sign up through his affiliate link.

I finally got my account set-up at the very end of January. PNBkid then contacted me to tell me that I was his 20th signup for the month and that he would get a 500$ bonus if I played a couple of hands before the end of the month. He offered a 150$ bonus if I did, so I accepted. He said he would pay it on February 15th, at the same time he paid all his other players their rakeback. He proceeded to delay the payment due to what he said was a Moneybookers issue.

I then played a full month of poker in February, which resulted in about 4500 $ MGR. At the end of February, he still had not paid anything but told me that I would get my money very soon.

I kept playing in March, expecting to be paid on March 15th. He still would not pay me blaming a problem with his affiliate account. He said that the first quarter of the year was ending on April 1st and that at that moment, all his MGR stats would be updated and that he could pay everything that was due.

At that moment I started seriously worrying and stopped playing at the site. I emailed him twice in April and he has not answered yet, so I assume that he has no plan on ever paying me.

The total amount due is close to 1700$. I can live with this loss, but I just want to make sure that no one else falls in his trap.

Cliff notes: PNBkid pmed me for rakeback, I signed up 3 months ago and he has never paid me. He now does not answer my emails and he owes me 1700 $.

In my opinion you should contact the site you play on and let them know about the rogue affiliate right away, that way, at least he won't be paid revenue share on your play.

Sorry for the bad fortune.

Hi Greg,

Sorry to hear that.

Are you able to reveal what kind of site this is in regard to?

If so, it would be easier to see whether or not you are able to take action.

Best Regards

The quarterly payment story seems like a nice way to delay things. Is the guy a regular poster? I remember being offered the same thing by some guy with 3 posts to his name somewhere in january as well. I decided to stay away...

He (PNBkid) PM-ed me and offer LuckyAcePoker rakeback deal back in february. We exchanged a few messages and he told that the deal is legitimate and answered all my questions in one way or another. He had 100+ posts and seemed to know what he was talking about. But as I was only 75% convinced, I had a holiday coming up and I saw some warnings about LuckyAce possibily not paying winning (casino) players I didn't take the bait right away.

In march I tried to message PNBkid again to ask why don't LuckyAce affiliate terms mention anything about allowing rakeback (Pacific terms do) and how are things working out with other subscribers?

As I didn't get a reply and he hasn't posted anything here at 2+2 since middle of february, I concluded that it was a scam from the start (he gets the one-time signup bonus and runs). This thread only confirms my thoughts.

In my opinion... I wouldnt play for an affiliate that makes alla payouts to the players by himself If I dont really know and trust him.

Should be the site that payes out the rake.

Exactly, whrer the sites payout. U dont get scammed. If u trust someone on the net who offers u a deal, make sure the site pays out the deal. And u probelly wont get scammed.
