Re: Milestone hands are back

these should start in the next few hours.

i have filled my fridge with sandwiches

and have placed the coffee machine beside my PC.

i plan to play them non stop till hand 75 billion,

sometimes 3 tables at a time.

surely this should guarantee me some kind of a prize.

Is it just me or does that link (and the one in the client) take you to this page http://www.pokerstars.co.uk/sites/spev2poiulepa/ with no link to the road to 100 billion.

Not just you! Every single time I click any pokerstars link (including ones in the client) it takes me to STARS.CO.UK. Tilts me no end, I should post in the stars software improvement thread or something.

Ninja edit: Does anyone have an ETA on the big one?

Do you get any part of the milestone bonus if you fold preflop or do you have to contribute?

Re: Milestone hands are back

You have to be dealt into the hand.

Re: Milestone hands are back

Stars will be paying out less for these now we've moved to WC right?

rugmuncher 01-30-2012 08:41 AM

Re: Milestone hands are back

Yeah about 40-50% less

Re: Milestone hands are back

No, they'll pay the same. The number of VPPs is still the same, they are just distributed differently.

anyone can estimate how many more hours of milestone hands from the time of your post?

Re: Milestone hands are back

never win them

Re: Milestone hands are back

Aren't the odds of being dealt one of the milestone hands:

number of cash game tables running on pokerstars divided by the number of tables the player is playing? We do know approximately when a milestone hand is about to be dealt, so this should be easy to calculate, if i'm understanding this correctly.

Re: Milestone hands are back

it's probably more accurate to go from hand/h you are able to play vs total hands/h

Re: Milestone hands are back

I have played during 4 of these promos now and never have been dealt one of these. I actually find these promos rather stressful because they create table dynamics I don't like much, with sometimes 12 tables breaking instantly after a hand has been dealt. Sometimes there aren't even any free tables to sit at so I find these promos pretty unconvenient and it looks like again something that stars did to profit the high volume, mass tabling grinder rather than the recreational players.

1) have a watch/clock with you

2) time the time that's passed between two milestone hands (1 million hand gap)

3) count how many millions of hands are left 'till 75 billion

4) multiply 2) with 3)

5) that will give you and idea. Take in mind the actual 75 billionth hand is going to be played before 4) since playing increase exponentially

6) share the result with us :)

thanks for the tip!

1) there is more to it than this, were calculations take into account increased number of hands leading up to it, see earlier milestone threads

2) I asked if anyone have done this, since I don't have the time or motivation to do it myself. If you have a problem with this kind of question on a forum for Internet Poker, just ignore it.
