720 VPP for $40 here

I'm wondering what will get me VPP faster, 5NLZ of 10NL reg?

Depends on table count man 4 x 5z ~ 6 10nl reg tables (rake wise). 700 VPPS ~ 12k hands of 10z.

Is it possible that you can clear only 50% of the needed VPP and get 50% of the Bonus.
Or do you get the full Bonus or nothing?

This promo is worthless if you put any serious volume in last year.

Hmmm, am I the only one around here who likes this new promo? I'm happy for the chance to get free money, although its hard to get. Finally a real challenge... calling it "the ultimate challenge" is true

And I think its much better than getting 1 shootout ticket every day for tiny goals. Although I already made whooping $4 with it this month

I like the promo as its free money for not a whole lot of extra play compared to what I'm already on target for this month ($37.50 for 600VPP). What annoys/annoyed me is that since I don't get to play that much, I have to sit and wait for 4 hours for the code to be applied when I could have been playing towards the bonus during those 4 hours. At my level, 4 hours on one night can make a big difference between clearing and falling short on a bonus like this.

Re the bolded: almost anything at all is better than those stupid shootouts they seem to have fallen in love with since FTP started a 1 table version of them a few years ago.

In balance it's a good promo for the rec player but horrible for most Supernova players (most of us grinded 1 month way more than the others).

The all in shootout tickets shouldn't be viewed as a promo any more and more like the cost of Stars running a commercial. The value is negligible for anyone above the absolute nano's and they've used this promo as a tool to get rake out of players that wouldn't have even logged in. Sort of like a lost leader.

The all in shootouts aren't a promo, but a money generator and shouldn't come out of the VIP budget.

Any chance Stars will lower my bonus? Odd question but there's no way I can put in enough volume for the single release.

If you're a heavy grinder there's gotta be a fair chance you could make this your heavy grinding month for the year. Would have been nice if they'd let you get it in increments though especially given how hard the rate drops.

Different problem:
I joined PS last year and haven't cleared my First Deposit Bonus yet so I'll be putting this code in at the last possible minute (should be about 5kVPP which is attainable in well under a month -easily if I manage my stab at a higher level).

The question arises as to whether this bonus is good enough to be worth playing extra for though. PS seem very good at getting people to set goals around giving PS money.

I e-mailed them and they said the terms and conditions of this bonus doesn't allow them to drop VPP requirement for less bonus money, so no chance im getting any bonus dollars from it.

Got a question about this. If im playing on stars anyway, is there any negative to putting in this bonus code? Thus its only positive? I thought i read that you get lesser vpp etc.

So if you don't make the amount you get zero? Because there is no way I'm matching the crazy month last year when I grinded like crazy taking a shot at a higher stake then moved back down.

As I understand it there are no negative effects when you put in the bonus code. The worst that can happen is that you dont make enough VPPs so you don't get the bonus.

I didn't heard anything about lesser VPPs etc. By now I collected about 200 VPPs during this challenge & everything (VPPs- & FPPs-contribution) went normal like before.

Yeah, it looks like it's a healthier ecosystem promo and PS forks over the cash for it. Well of course if they dont attract casual players more, their profits will drop, but it still benefits regs too for bringing more players to the tables.

They told me :

"Hey, you just won $112; to claim it, just play 5 times more hands (!) than usual"

That's a clear lack of respect, if not a fake promotion.

It just makes me think of the nigerian scams I get everyday.

thousands of occasional players will be putting in extra hours at the tables this month because of this promotion. Even if your own personal bonus is unattainable (mine is too btw) it doesn't make the promotion a bad thing.

The bonus should be attainable because it is (close to) the same amount of VPP you collected in a month in 2014.

If you don't feel like putting in the hours, just don't do it. Complaining like that will get you nowhere. Stars really doesn't care about your feelings towards their promotion.

I get $42.50 for 850 hands, quite happy with that i can understand the frustration with the higher stakes players though who aren't getting as much for their volume. but i still think it's a good promo since it will increase the fish:reg ratio - more fish means more money!
