Question; Deposit Vs No Deposit Bonus

Dear fellow 2+2'ers,

I need some help or at least some views on this problem I am having.

- If you had a Zero Balance on a PokerSite and have not played on that site for a few months.

- Have had NO Deposit and Deposit/reload offers from this Pokersite for the past few years which you took the site up on and completeled. I especally like the no deposit ones, which I am sure every player loves.

- Then you get a email from a site that you have recieved no deposit money b4.

- It states this "We have just put a $25.00 bonus in your account - No Deposit required"

- Logon to Pokersite like I have many times in the past to get this free money only to find out I have been deceived by the email and that in fact I need points to clear out the bonus.

- Support says that I should know the difference between these offers as I am long time player, and this is my fault.

- They also told me that indeed I should have not been sent this bonus but a reload bonus instead.

- Support will not credit the 25.00 to my account, even tho clearly I was offered the 25.00 as a no deposit bonus as I have had in the past , so yes I know the difference.

So basically if you were sent a email with the above title in it... Would you be expecting 25.00 in your account when you accepted it? Would you try to get this money from customer services.

I feel very deceived and mislead by this. thanks in advance for your thoughts. peace/

Re: Question; Deposit Vs No Deposit Bonus

I'd expect there to be either $25 in my cashier that I could use immediately with play through conditions attached or $25 waiting for me play enough to have released. I'd think from the email it was unclear which.

Even if I thought it was one rather that the other I wouldn't feel deceived. And since I haven't lost anything I wouldn't think any more about it. I don't really understand why you're upset.

Pretty much every bonus, deposit or non-deposit, needs to be cleared. Poker sites don't make money if they keep giving it away for free. So of course I would expect bonus clearance terms.

Re: Question; Deposit Vs No Deposit Bonus

I don't see anything deceiving in the email. They state it's a "bonus" not free money which, on any poker site (as Bobo stated) means it needs to be cleared.
You only feel misled because you had no money on the site to take advantage of the offer.

Yes Bobo I realize this. I have had many NO DEPOSIT and DEPOSIT offers on this pokersite in the past.

They have presented the offered to me via email. And yes both the NO DEPOSIT offer and the DEPOSIT offers need points to clear I understand that.

I have had NO DEPOSIT offers, when I get them I log into my account and , Poof, Magic I can play with real money, but I have to clear out to be able to Withdraw.

I have had DEPOSIT offers where I deposited to get bonus and then clear out the points and then recieve the bonus.

- to me these are two different things. So when I get a offer from this pokersite (been member there since 2005) for a no deposit offer I always get free money and I am able to play on this free money

- When I get a deposit/reload offer I do the same and clear it out

My problem is this..

- Have not played or deposited on this pokersite for over 6 months.
- Find email in my account to log in and receive 25.00 - no deposit required.
- I have $0.00 and 0 points on my account and did not play for 6 months.
- Pokersite will not honor my request for the no deposit money as I need to deposit 1st to clear out points to receive the money.

That makes no sense, why the hell even deceive me to open the email and re-download the site just on the off hand chance that I might go ahead and deposit. They should have clearly offered me a DEPOSIT/RELOAD bonus, and not waste my time. IMO of course IMO. peace. thanks for help tho.

I believe you got this offer from party, they have sent me such letter for years. Sometimes they actually give you cash that you can use to play, but then they state that its already in your account and you can play with it, if they don't state it, then you have to clear it

Re: Question; Deposit Vs No Deposit Bonus

Surely it technically was a no deposit bonus. They weren't requiring you to put money into your account it just so happens that you had none in there. If you played and won a freeroll you could have started earning your bonus without depositing. This seems like a lot of fuss over nothing.

Re: Question; Deposit Vs No Deposit Bonus

Is this Party Poker? It is naughty but it sounds like they have given you a bonus that needs you to earn points to release it.

If you decline the offer (if it is Party), as mentioned above eventually they will do a release restricted credit. They will put $25 that you can't withdraw until you earn x amount of points.
