I'm a European player. I currently play 200BB 25NL 6max holdem at Absolute. I'm looking to build a bankroll to move to a better site (ideally I'd like to get enough $ to max out the FT sign-up bonus and play there with rakeback). I'm currently clearing the AP signup bonus with rb. On a site without 200BB tables I'd probably play 50NL. I play 10-20 hours a week. I don't really play tournaments.

I've been playing online for a few months now, but I'm still pretty clueless about bonuses. I'd like to get a plan together to clear some kickback bonuses over the holidays, but I really don't want to screw myself by precluding getting rakeback at a decent site in the future, so I'd like to stick to crappy sites.

I'm currently thinking taking a shot at the Ladbrokes boogster kickback. Are there others you'd particularly recommend to me based on my level?

Also - can you get kickback bonuses at multiple skins of one network? Can you get kickback bonuses at lots of ipoker skins for example?

edit: also, should I consider switching from 6max to FR? I'm a stronger player at 6max, but I only feel comfortable playing 2 tables, whereas I could 4table FR fairly easily (because you play fewer hands). Would I be better off, if it came to it, playing 25NL FR 4tables or 50NL 6max 2tables, if I'm playing to clear bonuses/kickbacks?

just check out the offers on Boogster, Savvy, PSO, etc, and search the forums. there is plenty of discussion of which offers are good (from memory recently discussed were Carbon, Cake, etc).

dont listen to people who tell you bonus-whoring is a waste of time at low levels (yes bkkdude this is directed at you).

you can get kickbacks on multiple skins with ipoker, as well as Ongame and i would assume most others. the ipoker ones are usually pretty good at low levels, just compare the clearing rates carefully as they can differ a lot on each skin.

you may be better off 4-tabling FR, particularly on ipoker and any other sites that use the dealt method. you would really have to compare the numbers yourself, and even then it will vary greatly depending on tables, etc. 4-tabling 6-max would be good once you can handle it as well.

I agree that these kickback sites can be a great starter for many players, though I am a bit out of date with regards to how good the conditions are now for each of their rooms. A few years ago many of the conditions were utterly silly, and I suspect most are more rational now, but many would be well within the reasonable range for clearing at 50 NL.

Also look at the independent rooms like Everest and see if the conditions make sense to do the kickbacks. Plot out a plan of attack for the next 4-6 months between PSO, savvy etc.

Look through the ipoker skins and perhaps ongame (not familiar with that network) to pick the one that you eventually plan to do your heavy play at, so you can set that aside for your rakeback equivalent skin (based on the rewards programs), and the rest do the best kickback deals you can to build your bankroll.

Part of the equation that is important is working on your game and moving up as your bankroll allows, and it sounds like the OP would follow along that game plan, which makes kickback/bonus whoring less important and rakeback more important as time goes on, and your bankroll increases.

The person djkelly is talking about relies on not playing by folding every hand to make a little after bonuses, and obviously while that may work at a few places for now, and for a little while in the future, it is not a long term game plan that can work out as eventually the terms of these bonuses will get tighter, and there will be no actual play skill to fall back on when the availability of folding to money dries up.

I just finished clearing out the Ladbrokes bonus and it was quite profitable even at 50 NL. I signed up through pokersavvy but boogster offers the same deal. What I got:

- $100 from pokersavvy
- $165 rakeback through Ladbrokes
- $500 deposit bonus cleared

So $765 in bonus funds alone achieved. It did take about 3 weeks of 6 tabling for me. However that was only moderate play as I work a full time job. One thing I would suggest though which I did not do is start the promotion at the beginning of a month so you can maximise your rakeback through the site. Hope that helps.

Thats sounds pretty good. Roughly how many hands of 50NL did you play, and at what stats (VPIP/PFR/AF)?

im bonuswhoring and playing nl50 atm, too.
from my memory, i think i cleared gnuf poker(pso), carbon poker(pso) and betfair poker(savvy) in one day each playing 4-5hrs...so yeah...pretty easy money i guess

competition on those sites is beatable with tight game, you shouldnt have too much of a problem, also tables are sufficient.
caution : betfair 6max tables are almost always turbo - so pay attention.

just have a look at www.kickbackbonus.com (i hope this is allowed to post this link if not please delete it) and you can see all the offers sorted by clearing rate. for example pokerroom and gnuf have excellent clearing rates at regalos poker, same for betfair and littlewoods at pokersavvy. there are lots of ipoker rooms quiet easy to clear because of the dealt rake, especially if you 4 table fr.

How soft are the 50 NL games at ladbrokes? Do you think it's more profitable to clear the deposit bonus, rather than going for the kickback?

1st- play at the level your comfortable, always. Never play with scared money
2nd- play only as many tables that you can play your best at.
3rd- don't guess at your skill level, get PokerTracker or some software that shows you exactly how your doing.
The more tables you can play of course the more you'll clear. Don't take a kickback where you may end up playing longterm for rakeback / bonuses / cashback.
FT is NOT your best long term option as a non-american. If you can maintain 50k points / month on Ipoker (about 30k hands of NL100 full ring) you'd do better than on 27% rakeback at FT. Stars and FT are for americans who can't play at better sites, or guys married to thier screen. If you make more money playing 6max, play it. Your goal should be to improve your game, not just to clear bonuses. gl

Just a note... At Ipoker its possible to sign up as Diamond level through a lot of different sites. As danes we have a couple of sites which offer that benefit. This means you are on Diamond level "rakeback"... 35%?

I have seen software sites, and others like those offer the samme sign up bonus.
