Bonus whoring, hunting, kickbacks strategy
Bonus whoring, hunting, kickbacks strategy
I play the micro stakes and I recently started hunting initial bonuses and kickback on different sites.
However I'd like to know how to manage all of those accounts to optimise all the promotions the sites are offering.
How much money (if any) do you leave on each site after you cleared the kickback/bonus?
Some offer added money freerolls on a weekly/monthly basis; do you play them?
How do you manage the different skins on the same network in order not to get banned for multiple accounts or playing in the same tourneys?
I searched the internet but haven't found a detailed approach to bonus whoring.
If there was a book on the subject I'd buy it.
Anyway if some experts on this site would like to post their strategy and bonus whoring stories; I'd appreciate it.
Thanks.

Re: Bonus whoring, hunting, kickbacks strategy
I want to know either:
1. how much time (average) needed to receive the bonus after we cleared it?
2. is it more profitable than rakeback system? why rakeback seems more popular than bonus whoring?

Re: Bonus whoring, hunting, kickbacks strategy
Short term a lot of the bonuses are way better than rakeback...but then u go through a bunch of rooms and then find a good long term deal instead...
cashouts depend i guess....
i did like 20+ deals in the span of a couple months (maybe more cant remember) a couple years ago ... i would imagine things would be harder to do now that so many sites seem to be having trouble with their cashiers...
check out kickbackbonus website for room comparisons...

Hi UtheMan,
You should check out PokerSavvy. They seem to be the market leaders when it comes to kickback bonuses.
Regarding your question concerning how much money to be left on a site: I can't see any advantage to be gained from continuing to play on a site once you've finished the bonuses. Unless you're on a nice heater or just like it there!
Hope this helps,
Jamie

Re: Bonus whoring, hunting, kickbacks strategy
i prefer boogster for kickbacks, they seem to pay more for the sites.
The best tactic now would probably be to clear the networks one by one, ie ongame ipoker merge etc, but leave one on each to do the boogster high volume kickback.
As you clear the room and get the affiliate points for it withdraw all your money, bank the points then move to the next one.
When you have around finished all the normal rooms you should have around 100,000 to 150,000 points, transfer them to the room you want to do the high volume deal at and grind away.
best of luck.

Re: Bonus whoring, hunting, kickbacks strategy
The high volume deals are only good if you play cash. For MTT/SNG you'll need twice as many points as stated (it's listed in the notes of the room's details page). And even for cash, some of the deals are just not worth it. Take for example "Mansion Poker", the high volume deal has a rakeback percentage between 30-40%, the normal deal has above 100%. Some affiliates offer additional bonuses if you clear a certain number of rooms, so this might affect your decision. And there are pages who offer extra money if you sign-up with an affiliate via them. Sort of an affiliate-affiliate...

Re: Bonus whoring, hunting, kickbacks strategy
hello, i need some advice from ppl who already cleared kickback bonuses from Pokersource / boogster/ regalos/ savy.
how did u guys actually got your cash(in the case u went for cash) ?
only options im seeing are - various gift cards - amazon, ebay, poker sites ones and so on
- webmoney(boogster) - searched the web for this one and it seems very complicated. i dont even know if u can get ur cash into a bank account from them
- moneybookers(savvy) - the problem here is savvy force you to become platinum to be able to use it.
how are you guys dealing with this matter?

Re: Bonus whoring, hunting, kickbacks strategy
I've used poker sites. Some have playthrough requirement for player-to-player transfers while others just let you cash out the money. PokerStars for example wants you to turn over the money, i.e. wager each dollar you got transferred at least once.
Re moneybookers on Savvy: not true, you can always use Moneybookers no matter what VIP status you have. The only difference is that the lower VIP tiers only allow to cash out in 450 points chunks while for the higher VIP tiers it's just 50 points.

Re: Bonus whoring, hunting, kickbacks strategy
^^^^ NO. As far as I know, all kickback prohibited you from getting rakeback in future. BTW, it doesn't matter for site like Pokerstars or 888.
