I have not had it happen on other devices but I'm also not on them that frequently.

Otherwise, assuming you can't move the machine or router, you should be able to buy a long Ethernet cable for $10 or so. Might be worth checking whether it is your wireless connection or the connection to the wider world that's the issue.
Nothing new that I can think of. There is a TV in between the router and my computer although it is usually off if that matters.
I'll look into the ethernet cable.
I also have another router that I was thinking of setting up that would be closer to my computer. Good idea?
