hey guys I built a new PC awhile back and have noticed that the cpu usage reported by my desktop gadget often doesnt jive with resmon.



A lot of the time Ill just be surfing or doing nothing and notice a few cores of the CPU seeming to go crazy for no reason. Open resmon and its often using the greatest cpu resources itself.

has anyone seen anything like this before? the cpu is an ivy bridge 3770k fwiw.

Both types to measure your CPU usage are more like educated guesses and the desktop gadget doesn't even have realtime data.

Desktop gadgets are gone with win8 anyhow because of security concerns.
