Brain frying problem
have an old desktop it only has one VGA ouput no other outputs at all.
intel(r) G33/G31 Express chipset family
so i will call the two tv's TV1 and TV2 to make it easier to follow
i bought two VGA to HDMI converters and one VGA splitter , i will replicate the image of one output to two screens. (same image both screens)
TV1 when plugged in ALONE works perfect 1920 x1080 picture using HDMi converter and HDMI cable
TV2 using a standard VGA cable ALONE gives perfect 1920 x 1080 picture
1920 x 1080 is also native / recommended setting in display settings.
So now i plug the splitter at each end of the splitter i use a VGA to HDMI converter - then a HDMI cable plugged into each of them, then plug into each TV
this is where it gets confusing.......
TV1 is showing image as it should it fits to screen in 1920x1080 mode using splitter + converter fills screen perfect
but TV2 will not resize. the windows logo/start button is off the screen both horizontally and vertically and same on right side screen the windows notification area is also cut off.
windows is still telling me 1920 x 1080 is recommended but it will not scale correctly, the only way to scale is if i change it to 1280 x 800 but this makes everything huge , but windows fit properly.
TV1 has more available setting i.e panoramic/wide screen/unscaled/auto format etc
TV2 only has Full screen and 4:3 options (built into tv)
PC - vga splitter - 2 x vga to hdmi converters - hdmi cable from each to each tv
all cables and converters individually work as they should.
i cant figure out whats the problem here. what am i missing ......
