Too much to ask for a simple WYSIWYG html editor?

Just need to knock out some simple pages with pics and a couple of tables, no CSS. Still can't find software that makes this process simple/reliable....

Maybe because what you are asking for is so ridiculously simple that no one would even think to create something that did that? Someone who has no idea what he's doing could come up with a working solution in probably 20 minutes tops.

There are lots of software that can do this.... but would you really want to pay a couple of hundred for it? When it really is as simple as Craggoo says? Software like Dreamweaver will do it, although as it is designed for so much more than that it is pretty expensive.
You could always use something like MS Word - that will do it but it will create HORRIBLE html code.
